Sk Hynix being listed on NASDAQ means it will now be open to trading 24/7 between NA, EU, and SK. As such it will be more difficult for gooks to manipulate and dump their shares overnight.

Do whatever you want with this information.

Experts agree: FUCK Koreans.

>slight downturn during Korean hours triggers a mild sell-off
>MASSIVE sell-offs caused by margin calls and LETF rebalances
>this triggers stop losses, automated algo trades, and other sympathetic sell-offs
>this causes KOSPI to trip the circuit breaker
>managers can't sell anything while KOSPI is frozen, so they HAVE to sell American equity (NVDA, MU) to get cash
>this causes American daytime market to dip to the abyss
>this causes next day Korean daytime market to dip in response
>absolute shitstorm tsunami of sell volume floods both markets across multiple days until it gets bought up

TLDR:
>semi prices are currently completely detached from basic TA or basic fundamentals
>slurp this unprecedented dip, prices will skyrocket as soon as Koreans are fully liquidated
>FUCK Koreans and their dogshit turdie-tier market

I ran some backtests against the indexes of a few leveraged ETFs to calculate the drag of them. It's what percent of the money in it that was lost to volatility decay over the last 10 years.

UPRO < 0.01%
TQQQ 0.10%
MQQQ 0.70%
DIG 0.47%
ERX 0.43%
UGL 2.0%

Not included is ETF fees, so add those to it. There's a new 2x leveraged gold ETF alled UGLD or something, but it's too new to backtest reliably

Anythg leveraged on SPY has extremely low drag because of the sheer liquidity on it

I bet if I took that shit it would just vomit bunch of nonsense.
Im Croatian, and have only Croat blood for the last 300 years, and probably much more too. However, not pure Slav because Croats are often also Dinaric (so Delmatae, Liburnii, Yapodi, and some Celtic tribes in the flatlands). Southerner (specific Illyrian tribe) is the the tallest on the planet, large skull, black hair smuggler and northerner is a pudgy fair haired drunk that can actually plan long term.
I bet its going to say Im like 8% Albanian because some old slav Croats moved to Albania 9th century and the potential Illyrian connection. Meanwhile Im 0 Albanian. I bet they will vomit I might be like 1% Argentinian because Dalmatians moved there en mass in early 1900s.

And ine should take this into account and not claim "oh Im 1% North African.", meanwhile he is a closest thing to a Vandal we have bur his direct line just never went there

in the redditor the Jane Street market manipulator finds an audience incredibly susceptible to consensus opinion, on a forum which is inherently anonymous, and yet entirely chat based.

It means SSO lagged the synthetic 2x SPY baseline.

It can come from expense ratio, financing costs, swap spreads, tracking error, cash collateral drag, dividend differences, and daily rebalancing. UPRO having more liquduity can hep tracking. That's probably what the differene mostly is, liquidity There's more factors that can effect it then just the amount of leverage

do you not see any issues with backtesting on different timespans on a date-sensitive data?

you might as well look up random papers on slippage formula, click "next" a few times, and just plug and chug the AUM into it

And people don't stop there, we got the Albanians trying to go even further to "Pelasgians" in their unending attempt to prove they are "the oldest" people in the Balkans

It's a comedy.

I don't think it compares all that well. Markets are generally open fields, while poker game is closed one, where the level of challenge vary deeply. You can get a table in which a good player will be a winner like 80%+ of time, not sure how that would translate to market trading. There's also difference in formats, where if you play something like tournament poker, the size of your stack is absolutely a massive factor of your odds of winning, regardless of how good you are. If you set up a ridiculous example of being in final 2, while having 100 in chips against someone with 1 000 000 in chips, then if the other person just all ins every single hand, then your odds of succeeding are close to 0. Of course then the question is how did you stack get so low, but that goes to the limitations of the analogy.

The reason why fund managers are seen on high-end poker tables may just be due to them being degenerate gamblers with a lot of disposable income. But there probably is some cross-section of skills that translate. Using odds/math/probabilities and some major stress/swing resilience.

Think of it like value investing

With two different people. Same company.
>company A is a value company, many consider it a value trap
>but there to two investors, Investor X and Investor Y
>investor X is a typical investor, with less than $1m in his portfolio
>he invests into company A, with total confidence that it is a good company with a future
>Investor Y is a billionaire investor, he has multiple billions of dollars
>he invests into company A as well, with total confidence that it is a good company with a future
>fast forward
>5 years later, company A is down 50%
>investor X dollar costs averages into the company, with full confidence of its future even though he is down considerable
>Investor Y dollar costs averages as well into the same company, increasing his position in it to a significant stake, and has gained considerable voting shares in the company, though, he doesn't have a majority
>5 more years later
>company A is now down 80% from its value 10 years ago. The company is now valued at a fraction of what it was initially
>investor X is helpless to the whims of the market. His unrealised stake in the company is down 80%, a fraction of what it was
>investor Y is ecstatic, he now sees a chance to increase his shares to majority shareholder, or outright buy the company completely. Through whatever means, he increases his stake in the company and gains control or ownership of it.
>investor Y, having had full confidence in the company, even though it was just failing, takes control, and makes considerable changes in the company to turn the company around

the point is, if you have deep enough pockets. The whims of the market make no difference to you

As of July 2026, the average bank lending interest rate in South Korea stands at 4.19% per annum, following a gradual downward trend over the past year. This standard retail loan rate is heavily anchored by the Bank of Korea (BOK) base policy rate, which is currently set at 2.50%.The overall loan rate environment breaks down into several key categories:Retail & Commercial Loan RatesAverage Bank Lending Rate: 4.19% as of mid-2026, dropping slightly from 4.20% in April.Prime Corporate / Low-Risk Borrowers: Rates generally hover between 4.20% and 4.75% depending on the specific institution and borrower credit worthiness.Mortgage & Housing Loan RatesStandard Commercial Mortgages: Average commercial mortgage credit rates sit around 4.23%.Bogeumjari Loans: These popular long-term, fixed-rate state mortgages managed by the Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF) offer standard tiers ranging between 4.70% and 5.00% per annum.Didimdol Loans: Government-subsidized mortgages aimed at newlyweds and low-income first-time homebuyers provide preferential rates that slash borrowing costs further, often applying deductions between 0.2% to 0.7% percentage points based on family criteria.Short-Term FinancingInterbank Rate (KORIBOR): The 3-month short-term interbank rate remains stable at 3.03% to 3.04%, which dictates the baseline pricing for many variable-rate consumer loans. If you are looking to secure a loan in South Korea, let me know what type of loan you are considering (e.g., mortgage, personal, business) and your residency status, so I can guide you through eligibility or expected bank spreads.

This is what we need to do to bring stability to the global economy
>ban Koreans from all public exchanges
>strict limit on shares distirbuted to Korean banks
>if Koreans need to unload shares, they either have to do it on their own exchanges, or in the dark market through banks through private sales. They should not be doing transactions on public exchanges

I'm only really bullish on 3 places

US
Japan
and LatAM
maybe China as well but not in the short term. China is working its way through the problem that took Japan 30 years to get out of. And China only entered it like 10 years ago, so it's half way done.

I'd short Korea once the memory cycle slows down.
>>
>>62462998
latam is where the money is flowing rn

what exactly they hope to do with it there... i am not certain.
I think they're being a bit optimistic.
>>
>>62463001
it's all going into latam banks
and mining

they're hoping to get it running through the banks giving out loans

to what end though? I mean my family is well off and i was thinking of advising them to do this as well, but I mean really, the crime and corruption is so high its hard to imagine it working out.

the one exception is cuba, I think that its close enough and the society homogenous enough that that could be a huge money maker.

if cuba ever opens ill full port into there.
its a travesty that when you want to go to the tropics in america you either have to settle for florida (swamp/sandbar) or the bahamas/exumas (sandbar).

I can see cuba retaining sovreignty but become as important a part of america as miami, nyc, or cali 100 years after opening.

onshoring of manufacturing industry in latam.latam has a growing population that could sustain heavy industry. a lot of manufacturing is already going there, and it's happening right now. a bunch of companies tht were manufacturing into china went there, especially to mexico

if cuba ever liberalises its financial system, you better get in it. it would be a second chance to buy russia after the collapse of the ussr

I don't see latam ever catching up with the first world, but their economies are undervalued and have a lot of room for expansion.

Latam is only 7% of global GDP, and has 750m people. It should be like double that, and be 14%

Yeah I mean I agree sort of....
I also thought about moving there.

But it's just too politically unstable, and they've had quite a long time to get things sorted, its kind of a cultural issue at this point.

The one change I would note is that IF the AI thing works out, THEN I would be very interested in the equator generally, all around the world.
If robots/automation can handle most of the work, then there's absolutely no reason to freeze your balls off or spend half the year under cloud cover.
I think this is already starting to happen with WFH as more biz migrates to fl and texas, and will only accelerate each decade.
