Is working from the office as bad as people say it is?>t. Getting paid 50% less than other people in my field (finance) because I'm remote
I have never heard of a job offer a cut in pay in exchange for remote work.
>>62462581>that screenshotDamn that takes me back a long time. CS and TFC were my thing. The best online shooters ever. I never worked in an office so I couldn’t tell you. Only came because of the pic
>>62462581I miss working in an office desu. Work wife, work mistress, work parties, work whiskey, and don't get me started on the Nespresso machine. But I had to slow down ever since the old battle axe got word of it and had to go remote. Too much fun to be had in the office.
>>62462588Every single role I see has a discount if it's remote. >>62462603I miss 1.6 and Source. I still hop on every once in a while. Good times...>>62462607I don't really care for any of those things anon
>>62462625>I don't really care for any of those things anonYou stupid kids. What do you do? Work for a paycheck and go home and play videogames and goon? Life isn't just about money you know.
>>62462581I'm an engineer in a government office and we just sit around jerking off for half the shift, while during summer we have reduced work hours and pretty much do nothing. I work with mostly women and they're all alright, no gossip or backstabbing horror stories. When I look through remote jobs they pay less (some even minimum wage) and people complain about having to please the spyware in their laptops that tracks their idle time.Oh, and I can ask my boss for temporary remote if I need to, though in my field we prefer to be on site (health & safety).
>>62462634I don't care about having a work wife lmao. I have a gf and will be proposing in the next year.
>>62462581Bunp
>>62462882stfu it's important for me to hear this because I'm going in for an interview soon for a 4 days in office jobbo. I fucking forgot about office sloos. it's been so long since i had the 9-5 life. but OP>>62462581it's not that bad. the commute is what sucks. narrow the commute time. why are you remote and you've never worked an in-person office job??? wtf is your problem? clingy to your girlfriend so she always knows what you're doing 24/7.
>>62462581I spent so much of my life thinking this was his receding hairline
>>62462581Bump
>>62462603I came too. Were now orgasm brothers. ;)
>>62462581>1.5 > every other shit update > CS2 Crate CasinoDeal with it nerds
>>62467843We're going to put your old unc ass in a home and never talk to you again if you keep parroting gay shit like that gramps.
>>62462581cant even fuck your nude cleaning lady
>>62467843Source is based
>>62467865Fuck you
>>62467843+1 1.5 was the perfect version of CS. Took away some of the ridiculous jumping in 1.3 and adding some more recoil to guns but didn't slow the game down so much like 1.6 down. You could still deagle + awp / no scope quick in 1.5 and then 1.6 became more about team strategy. Source was fucking awful as was CS GO or whatever else they call it. Those days were the peak of the internet and basically the last time in modern world to enjoy life.
>>62468004Source had the best surf implementation so it's the best game. Your old ass probably never even figured out how to do it lmao.
>>62468013Yeah I could care less about that. I played 1.6 but would ring sometimes for a team in source. I didn't even practice the game and would put up respectable k:d ratios in matches. Not an enjoyable game. It didn't have the it factor for various reasons. I guess Source was good for people who couldn't hack it in regular CS. The beauty of the latter was that you can't just start playing and be good in a week. The skill ceiling was incredible and it took years of practicing all day to be good.
You can deep creampie your colleagues in a back room
>>62462581Anyways back to OP question, in short, yes it is. Watch Office Space and then apply modern day standards, not much different. >why doesn't anon smile enough>your work is good but we want you to be a part of the team>oh my god you don't eat carbs, that's not healthy!! - from a 230 pound woman Also anytime you have to call out and take a day off, get ready for the first day back in when 10 different people come up and say one of the following:>hey man you feeling better? >hey hey big guy, all good? (gives thumbs up sign)>i thought we lost you! (followed by hysterical joker laugh) Then every Friday: >hey any big weekend plans?>yeah we're taking the kids to insert shitty ass place hereOn Monday morning you will then report back what you did that weekend before any meetings start. Rinse and repeat for the next 30 years. Enjoy man!
>>62468114This, its designed to crush your spirit. WFH was killed because of all the brain dead boomers hate being at home, and commercial real estate valuations were tanking.
>>62468004I miss the MP5 being S Tier. I loved strafing on Colt babies
>>62467989I played from beta to source and had fun playing through all of it desu. Then again, I was just a casual player playing for the fun of it so I never payed much attention to the different versions>>62468082I always used to assume whenever I came across players who would pull HS after HS that they were hacking but then I saw my friend playing in person and realized these people were simply on another level. Him and his group were on some CPL shit
>>62468114Boomers also have to go into the office, which as you say is miserable, so your argument doesn’t make much sense
>>62468128Boomers hated WFH, I have no idea why. They love going into the office.
>>62468471No nagging wife in the office.
>>62468471Why do they hate being home? Makes no sense.
>>62468506They dont have to deal with their bitch wife, they have some semblance of structure and routine that keeps the thoughts in their head at bay. Also the boomer loves having power over people, similar to why they love the HOA.
Boomers spend more time gossiping and talking than teenage girls. No wonder they love the office.
>>62468573They talk sports
>>62462581i'm a wfh senior manager. i've never been to DA OFFICE because i live 6 hours away from it. anyways, my employer no longer gives out offices unless you're senior director or above. everyone else, from intern to director, is stuck in open office nigger cattle hell.
>>62462581>>62469947also being wfh has allowed me to progress from senior analyst to senior manager. if i were in DA OFFICE, everyone would have realized that i'm a chud freak autistic retard who can only fake being normal for the duration of a 30-60 minute teams call -- and i would have never been promoted to a managerial position.
>>62462581its worse. its so bad.
>>62462882fag
all the whores insist on dressing like little sluts and then set the thermostat to 75F
>>62462581you either get a 2+ hour round trip commute that eats all your would-be free time or the increased take-home gets eaten by hidden opportunity costs. some places you get bit by both.
>>62462625>Every single role I see has a discount if it's remote. What country? Since I've never heard of this either.
>>62462581I quit my job during Covid and took a pay cut to continue working remote. I’ve been remote for 5+ years and it’s definitely been worth it.
>>62471731yeah remote is definitely worth itcommuting costs in time and money add up fast
>>62471733Also…When I worked in the office, it was considered important that I was visible at my desk during core hours, regardless of what work was actually getting done. Now no one knows or cares where I am or what I’m doing, so long as I produce results.
>>62469950king shit.
>>62469950Based and God speed
>>62468210Good call. Mp5 pre 1.5 was formidable and teams could easily win save rounds with how good pistols were as well >>62468254Haha yep. That was a good judge of how far you'd come as a player if you could go dominate a public server and get kicked for "hacking". The famous player from SK (Heaton) had a funny video he put out of him on dust2 and and the whole server goes crazy.
>>62462634You sound like a complete fag.I work from home and sometimes on calls my wife is sucking my cock.Get a life you pathetic boomer.
>>62471741Office cucks are basically landlord slave pigs in their kennels with their shitty social yoke to keep them in line ans with necks bent down. The wfh Chad can enjoy a bong and getting his dick sucked while outperforming the chattel slaves.
>>62462581>view readmemodern games don't even have a readme
>>62468128>>62468114if your spirit is crushed by foid small talk in a nice air conditioned room then you are the weakest little bitch to ever exist.
i have the opportunity to shack up with a 40 year old divorced chinese woman who's fucking loaded. i'd never have to work again a day in my lifei'm very, very tempted to do this just so i can check out of the grind
>>62462603TFC fuck yea... know about fortress forever? Took too long to develop I guess, community never amounted to anything substantial.
>>62462603CS and UT... goddamn.
>>62476442>dude weed Embarrassing
>>62462882>will be proposing in the next year.pathetic
>>62462581Not really, it's quite fun actually, the worst part is only the commute.
pros of being in the office>usually better training and productivity since it's easier to collaborate>face to face time with bosses>socialization with other people cons of being in the office>your work day is 12.5%-25% longer (30-60 minute commute)>money spent on gas, repairs>less freedom to do things like exercise, start laundry, start dinner, etc while working, in meetings, on webinars, etc>lost time due to the above>still have to be presentable and dress nice even if you feel like shit>office culture might mean you can't be the first one out (see: japan)
>>62462607This. Kind of. The only reason one would want to be in the office is for you know what, or did you think the super cute 21 year old got the job because there "qualified". Kek
>>62483353The office is NOT more productive, at all.
>>62476809>if your spirit is crushed by foid small talk in a nice air conditioned room then you are the weakest little bitch to ever exist. The modern day man here. The irony of talking hard about sitting indoors yapping like the women on the View with a machine bringing down the temperature so he's more comfortable.
>>62484525>The office is NOT more productive, at all.In some ways it can be. A 30 second in person convo can decide something quickly whereas when everyone's remote you have to coordinate a call or type it all out.
>>62462581its not lol
>>62485263Why not?
>>62485194Typing shit out is more efficient than doing shitty calls 99% of the time.
>>62462581Bump fuck my life
>>62462581This is woman in general, her work pattern1. Start new work 2. Start to backstab colleagues with political move, levy, warning, pip, review, resign threat mental gymnastics, so she could get what she want in life. 3. If she doesn’t get what she want but get fireback4. She resign from the work if she failed to gain constant approval from the boss5. Virtue signaling about assisting on some strong man on his job while doing the absolutely nothing.
