How does one actually escape working a 9-5 anymore without relying on extreme luck? (I'm usually not lucky)

There's no such thing as luck. There's only your definition of existence.

It comes down to probabilities. The lottery is luck. I'm just saying I haven't had circumstances that were low odds of success and finding myself on the successful end.
I've seen others who had low probability circumstances work in their favor time and time again. Like dudes picking the right meme coins a few years ago or people who randomly got a million dollar inheritance from a grandpa that was secretly rich etc.

Extreme frugalism, find a good wife with a high paying job or which happily will do all chores and have a good community in which people support each other.
Of course all of this requires big sacrifices so you'll likely just continue with the rat race instead.
>>
>big sacrifices
big sacrifices like:
1. being competent
2. trying

Honestly I don't know. My parents just bought me three car washes after college and told me to "learn the business." I usually stop by around noon, tell the manager we need to "think bigger," ask a customer if they're enjoying the premium wash experience, then head to the country club to network. Last month I promoted myself from Regional Director to President because I felt I'd outgrown the title. Passive income is mostly about having the right mindset and choosing parents with a diversified asset base. Have you considered that?

this.

the best path to wealth is through quantum lucid suicide and re-rolling until you're born into a royal family or under a fortune f500 ceo. it takes time but at the end of the day this is the best path for the most wealth with the least amount of work.

Comfy being told what to do, how to behave, where to be for the bulk of your existence? You must be a legitimate NPC. It doesn't even factor that most people lose their job or become obsolete at some point while the cost of living outpaces wages over time.
