There are people who just stack PMs by mass at the cheapest price possible and don't care if it is bars, rounds, coins, or silver butt plugs. There are many of these.

Then there are people who are mostly interested in accumulating mass but like to spice things up with interesting designs and historic or nostalgic items. There are also many of these.

Then there are true numismatists who are only interested in rare coins. I don't think there are very many of these. I think they probably have their own specialty forums.

Then there are the trolls, bots, glowies, and other vermin who stack nothing at all except dirty fiat from Tel Aviv.

in the US dedicated coin collectors outnumber stackers by close to 10x

that's why antique coins here command premiums of tens to millions of times spot.

Guys i need some advice.. i borowed 6k from a neighbour to buy silver in Feb.. when it peaked.

I was thinking we were doing the hyperinflation thing.

I promised to pay this money back this month. My gains never existed... the value of silver is down 50% and from gold around 30%...

I need advice what to sell off to pay my neighbour back.

Gold or silver? I saved up some fiat to make up for the deficit. I always figured selling gold would be dumb.. but nowi wanna keep my word.

I also take any jokes that you throw at me.. i clearly aped in and now im burned.

Silver rounds and antique coins (both ponzi schemes) are both shitty investments but for different but similar reasons

Theres a hyuge glut of silver commodity and declining industrial use

My older brother and I had some old coins and a few were silver.
He told me they were valuable, kind of like gold but a different metal.
I knew about gold but not this other shiny stuff that a kid like me
could hold in his hand.

Man I was sold from that moment on. Felt closer to Ag than Au
cause you could get your hands on some for cheep and it was always worth
something.

I have sold during hard times but always kept some of the stack
because it is comfy to have some around and you are never completely broke.

Prices dropped almost entire because of margin hikes on paper silver retard, it had nothing to do with supply or demand. They increased margin requirements on paper silver from $14,000 to $32,500. Over a 130% increase in required leverage in less than a month. They priced out the majority of traders pretty much over night which is why you saw a 1 day 30% drop in value.

They did the exact same thing in 2011 which is why it crashed then too.

Everyone on pmg except IQSUPREME claims that paper silver suppresses the price , now you claim the opposite?

IQELITE has proven that paper silver inflates the price. Glad yall are coming around to his way of thinking. You are on the road to recovery fren.
>>
>>62466609
Forcing a huge portion of holders to sell all at once reduces the price you retard. The entire thing is an artificial manipulation of currency and value of resources by a few international (((bankers)))

But wouldn't deleveraging also lead in the other direction eventually because it equally affects shorts and therefore we can finally have true price discovery?

>>62466615
What makes you think we dont have true price discovery? My only thoughts on paper silver is it made it easier and cheaper for normies to buy silver, increasing demand because smart people dont want to lose 40% buying and selling and deal with the logistics
>>
Aaaaand Filtered
>>
>>62465937
First the 20% over spot, now 40% commission. Hearing about third world PMs trading is brutal.
>>
>>62466622
>No one forced anyone to do anything . You have zero evidence anyone sold you are making that up.
Margin hikes were implemented over the weekend and margin calls followed immediately after. The drastic margin increase meant many contracts were suddenly under the below required collateral for their contracts. Because this happened on the weekend, many traders could not add liquidity fast enough and brokers were forced to initiate automated liquidations.

So yes, many people were indeed forced to sell in a short period of time.

Now I'm going to go back to reading about adipocytes so stop bothering me with your sub-highschool level of economic knowledge and speculation
>>
>>62466620
why are you hodling crypto?
>>
>>62466643
They were smart to increase margin because silver was overpriced and volatile. Lmao no one wants to be on the hook for some degenerate losers gambling losses. And all the idiots buying silver have subsequently lost 75% while the brokers lost nothing.

Man, why do people entertain these niggerfaggot bots? These bots can't even grasp the concept of sound money, nor even the etymology of dollar that comes from a silver currency (that the 'muricans adopted). Dollar is truly the king, just not the fiat kind that's a perversion of it's roots. If fiat money is based on trust, then I don't trust niggerfaggots, rendering fiat currency as invalid. Silver is forever. Just like gold.

Previous thread already delved into this a bit. Either we have no jannies to do it for free, or they've been paid to turn their gaze from this glownigger/poop/jewtide, or whatever the fuck this is. If reporting bots is truly useless, then might as well not feed them in any shape or form.

>>Why Gold & Silver?

The political leverage against the Hunt Brothers isn't the same as stackers because we're too dispersed to be leveraged.
$ilver is money
This is what they fear
This is why narratives are of no effect
Silver stacking "disperses" the power to the individual rather than the collective or central banking cabals.

Truth simply is.

Why buy silver instead of gold? Gold seems less volatile. Just to have smaller amounts to trade in the unlikely case of a total collapse of the monetary system?
>>
>>62468848
Silver makes more sense in any type of collapse because anything like that would be a gradual rockslide instead of an avalanche barring a WW3 with nukes tier scenario. Even when the USSR or Yugoslavia collapsed smaller levels of bargaining are the most common forms of trade and trying to peddle off 1/10 or 1 ounce gold coins may make you more of a target than trying to peddle cheaper silver ounces or smaller values. This is if you care about SHTF larp shit. Otherwise silver is better for speculation for months or years long time spans. Having a good amount of both is good, but silver is better for bargaining safely.
>>

Silver in my country has a 21% vat tax, almost as if they once again don't want me buying it.
So I buy both;)

>Why buy silver instead of gold? Gold seems less volatile. Just to have smaller amounts to trade in the unlikely case of a total collapse of the monetary system?
Some prefer the speculation in currency, I call them (((bankers))) they typically save in gold and speculate in silver but promise with paper and are usually jewish, or masonic.
Knowing that silver is money allows lying about it to harvest others' time, energy, and presence, like some kind of vampirism for canal gains in this realm.
Realistically, though, silver is power. Every single luxury and comfort is afforded in some manner by the use of this element. Conversely, almost every single impoverishment and tribulation is as well.
Since the vampires love the gold, its most important purpose seems to be idolatry from what I have observed.

This particular coin was minted in Italy (most of the coins from the commemoratives from African countries were minted in the West) and commemorates the 100th Anniversary of Rome as Italy's Capitol. It's .999 fine Silver (somewhat unusual for commemoratives from the 70s) and weighs just shy of a troy ounce.
I did look into buying one of the coins with Nguema on it, but those go for 2-3x the price of what the ordinary commemoratives go for.
The shitty plastic case it comes in stinks so badly of formaldehyde that I'd recommend against buying one in its original packaging if you're looking to get one.

More accurately silver currency systems wherein denomination by decree is impressed upon the silver do, they become debased. Eventually, become pure fiat, then collapse. Because there is simply not enough silver for everyone to possess it.

All of the dollars and credit in the system are liabilities for the Fed. If that becomes a problem they just revalue gold (they actually devalue the dollar against gold). Seems obvious that they can't just magically decide to make the dollars MORE valuable than they are today because the interconnectivity of the banks, insurance, treasury market would all implode if it became harder to get dollars to pay interest on your loans. You work you life away thinking you are handsomely rich earning a bunch of interest while your $1M home keeps going up in value..... then you, and I, and everyone gets the Dollar Dilution, the Ruble Rugpull, Baht Backfire, Yuan Yank, Frank Finagling, or the Euro Euthanasia and the Ponzi Pound.

Someone please explain how the official Fed valuation of gold makes any difference at all. The current official value is meaningless except as some accounting entry in the Fed books. But the Fed's actions are not restrained at all by their evaluation of gold. They could suddenly say gold is worth a million dollars an ounce or one cent an ounce and nothing changes unless they set the price higher than market and actually bought gold at the new price. I can't imagine why they would do that. Other than that, the only way it could matter is if they revalued gold and then forced holders of US treasuries to accept payment in gold at the new value. If the value they arbitrarily assigned was substantial higher than the market, it would essentially be a default and be treated as such in the bond market. So how does the Fed's already ridiculous value for gold matter at all?
>>
>>62470285
I think they pretend that they'll pay off the debt with all the stacks of gold in fort knox, merica has the most gold and is the richest or something, any day now, a mere fortnight even
>>
>>62470285
The Treasury will sell the gold to the Fed for a far higher valuation and create a metric fuckton of dollars in the process. This is not debt-backed inflation which has a deflationary counterbalance. It is Zimbabwe style money printing which will pull all asset prices higher. They may need to set up shop and actually pay/honor that far higher price so everyone else follows suit. Revaluing the gold will also recapitalize the banking system as their collateral to offset the liabilities they create makes them solvent again. There have been instances where central banks have taken losses on bonds on their portfolios where they should technically be insolvent, but it is actually the gold on the balance sheet that will pull them out of the fire. Jim Rickards wrote in his book on gold how a central banker explained it to him how central banks never really go insolvent because they can play games with the PMs. How high does the price need to go? I'm not sure, but in a nutshell that is the jist of the mechanism: inflation.

Thanks. That is helpful. By deflationary counterbalance you mean that when the Treasury sells bonds to somebody who has existing dollars to pay for it, no new dollars are created. But isn't it the case that more and more bonds are being "sold" to the Fed for newly created dollars? In which case there would not be a deflationary counterbalance? Doesn't the Fed buy Treasury paper with dollars freshly created? Is the deflationary counterbalance there in the fact that those dollars vanish if the treasury pays off the notes? Which would not be the case with gold sales as there is no 'pay off"?

I'll admit that the machinations of MMT boggle my mind. So I would not be surprised if I have this all wrong.

Its a bad idea in general. The melt value of 10 pounds of copper is roughly 63 dollars. Bullion sells at a ridiculous markup so you will never realize gains from that. The only way to realistically make any kind of profit is to buy pallets of it from industrial suppliers. Then you have to figure out where you're gonna store tons of the stuff. Then, if you eventually sell it how are you going to transport it?

If you just want it for novelty, I wouldn't worry about value. A one pound bar sells for 5x what the melt value is. I bought a tube of rounds once, not because it had any value but because it had a cool design. I ended up keeping a few and giving the rest out as paperweights to people I like.

I was thinking of a 1 pound or 1 kilo as a desk toy, since its basically worthless from the price I'm getting it at I'll feel less bad about that than a 10 pounder. This specific vehicle didn't, I have been in different vehicles ranging from airshifting drag bikes to front and rear engine dragsters as well as super mod/and pro street cars, this specific vehicle at 9:90 with the original body and frame was a lot scarier than any of the well engineered tube chassis vehicles was my point. Sometimes, the thrill isn't purely the speed but also the security or lack therein. And sometimes it's not about racing the guy in the other lane but improving one's own consistency and reaction times.s

This should be a nice addition to mindlessly smashing the peddle regardless of whether in the audis. The other replies aren't digs. I have a ton of good c4 memories. I looked up the c3 date range, thought - did they just let the name sit for a decade before the c4 came out? - they didn't. Hmmmm
>>

> wish they kept it the same setup for c8.
They kinda did though, because the c4 was the last years the engine was mated directly to the transmission, everything between it and the c8 has a torque tube, so the c8 again has the engine mounted directly to the transmission with the differential included only reversed, better then Zoras design IMO, and yes when they first came out they were the shit. And with 2 turbos easily still a 200+ mph car

They really seethe so hard about Germany because even before WW2 broke out, the policies of NS Germany had pulled them out of the global depression. Britain was actually refusing to allow German cruise liners dock at British ports because even the poorest Germans were entitled to 1 week paid vacation/cruise courtesy of the NS social worker programs. Ruling classes were squirming because trying to prop up the monetary system, which is actually a bankrupt wealth extraction mechanism, was a burden that was very difficult to manage without destroying the poor and working class.
Removing jews from power, one a literal golden age for Germany. The Spanish golden age arose shortly after the jews were expelled as well. That theme is the lesson they don't want you to learn: jews are parasites and you the only way you can have social harmony is to physically remove them from your society. Hence all of the seething about "muh racisms" when jews are the single most racist people on the planet. Hence why they all present themselves as ideologes such as neoliberals, libertarians, anarchists, and communists. They need universalism to include themselves as society. But in private they speak in a jew vs Gentile dialect.
