How do you actually get users for your business? I created a website and the only place I can get views is reddit. Last time I posted I got 52k views on my threadhttps://www.reddit.com/r/webdev/comments/1utja00/showoff_saturday_added_cosmetics_to_my_4chan/

>>62470135Buy an ad and stop doxxing yourself
>>62470135There's a whole other rabbit hole to go down.First there's meta ads / Google ads. Then there's things like CPC / CPM optimisation. Then there's things like custom landing pages focused on intent, conversions. Then there's audience ad retargeting,AB test optimisations,Referral programsViral growth, affiliate systems.Paying influencers.SEO/Chatgpt optimisations. It all requires money and its all a rabbit hole every bit as deep as figuring out how to be a good dev.Honestly, I think the age of the software dev is over, the age of the marketing monkey has begun.
>>62470135The trick is - as a small business you don't. You either get viral traction, or you go fuck yourself. I learned that the hard way - I did small shit that randoms caught on to and they basically sold themselves in tiny, non-scalable volume. For example, I know a guy who makes swords - he just posts on insta and etsy, and that's it, they sell themselves, he makes less than a McDonalds worked and lives happily in his parents basement. For a "real" business - as in, you just decided to compete in some legacy space like clothing, gas station, food, electronics store, whatever the fuck, it comes into >>62470341, but he doesn't even begin to cover how fucked it is.> First there's meta ads / Google ads.Meta, Google, Reddit, X, Insta promoted - all insanely ineffective, you get a click @ about a 1500 impressions, so if you spend, let's say $3000 over a month, you will get maybe 2-5 users if you target well and they like your product.> Paying influencers.Where do you even find them, or are you going to micro-influencers one-by-one?> Chatgpt optimisations. How?>as figuring out how to be a good dev.u wut m8, I haven't opened Visual Studio in like 3 months>the age of the marketing monkey has begunRight on, same vibe. I am just spamming x all day that I am literally embarrassed to say on here.Anyway, as a side note - I feel like it's not viable without hundreds of thousands of investments at the very least - you also have a NEW, VIRAL product, or you try to out-spend giants and you fail, full stop. Imo there isn't a magic trick outside of getting in with a growing influencer, which is pure luck.
