What do you think of China banning retail for Paper gold / Unbacked gold trading on July 24th?

What do you think will happen when people can't buy paper gold, but are forced to buy backed and physical gold? I think things are looking pretty good, what's another year or two... just more time to stack and anger the non-physical holding wankers.

China is not only the world's largest gold producer, but is buying it by the ton from abroad. Add to that, the opening of the Shanghai exchange, the recent deregulation of gold transactions into and out of China, the recent opening of a gold clearance center in Hong Kong, and another to follow in Singapore, and you have a blatantly obvious move by china to control the world's gold market. They have also publicly announced their desire to replace the USD as the world's trade and reserve currency. Seems pretty obvious to me where this is going. Gold-backed trade yuan incoming, boys. Remonetization of gold will be the biggest financial event in your lifetime.

I think it would be a big hit with people who are into fantasy since most fantasy media is based around medieval europe or kids since they are interested in action figures and parents would rather buy there kids something with marginal education elements than some brainrot figures
also since Roman Legionares or Knights are so easily reconciable by almost everyone but fully public domain you dont have to spend money on aquiring any license for more popular fantasy media like lotr or DnD
you have reconcilablefigures that everyone knows of that you dont have to spend any time on creating from the ground up or worry about license

Its a nice thought, but most probably wouldn't. Small children are retarded now and not properly developing and most parents are exhausted from both working full time jobs so they just distract them with tablets and brainrot shit on youtube so they don't have to deal with it. The only small children I see that seem to be doing well and being educationally enriched come from multi-generational households with grandparents watching them.

More time to acquire is a blessing. Of course, we recognize the copium of inferior materials being used for products that are intended to not be, and also know the end results of this.
Conversely, there's plenty of alleged demand streams that are purely fabrication as well.
The blatant and hyperbolic kevetching that demand is dropping fast enough to be satiated by non existing supplies is only more comical the louder it's screeched.
The biggest tells are those 100oz futures contracts without any means of redemption and the discontinuing on the penny. These are silent surrendering with false bravado narratives louder than the bot(s) in this thread, which appear to be increasing.

there's always been some art or nostalgia or emotional or religious objects that were worth more than gold or silver. Which ones matter changes all the time, but they're always there.

Gold and silver represent real labor, but it's not skilled labor. Breaking rocks is about the dumbest job around. Traditionally slaves did it, and even now the people doing it aren't usually super bright. But it is work.

Gold is more stable, silver has better chances for gains due to volatility but unlike altcoins its not going to dump to zero like our jeet thinks. Silver will only get more and more expensive to mine, its already only really mined as a byproduct of copper mining because deep silver deposits arent viable for cheap returns.
>>
>>62483711
Including inflation, the price of silver fell in real terms (purchasing power) for approximately 31 to 45 years, depending on the metric used:

Continuous Decline (31 Years): From the 1980 peak to the 2011 peak, silver failed to recover its inflation-adjusted value. While the nominal price rose from ~$50 to ~$49, the real value collapsed because $50 in 1980 had the purchasing power of roughly $150–$200 in 2011 dollars. Thus, in real terms, the asset was in a net decline for 31 years.
Full Recovery Time (45+ Years): If measuring the time required to simply match the 1980 purchasing power, silver has arguably never fully recovered. Even with recent price increases, the inflation-adjusted value of the 1980 peak (approx. $170–$200 in today's dollars) remains significantly higher than current prices. Some analyses state it took 45 years just to approach a nominal recovery, yet the real loss remains over 75% compared to 1980 levels
>>
Literally copypasting from ChatGPT lmao
>>
>>62483711
Lmao gold is even worse. Silver and gold are shit

Unlike silver, gold took significantly longer to recover its nominal price, but has recently surpassed its inflation-adjusted 1980 peak.

Nominal Decline (21 Years): Gold fell from its 1980 peak of $850/oz to a low of $252/oz in 1999. It did not surpass the nominal $850 level again until 2008. This represents a 28-year period where the nominal price remained below the 1980 high.
Real (Inflation-Adjusted) Decline (44–46 Years): Because $850 in 1980 had the purchasing power of roughly $3,200–$3,350 in 2026 dollars, gold remained in a real-term loss for over four decades.

That's over $1M of metal as a wild guess and silver was $20-28 back in 2021. He made a 5X at the tops in January.
The most astounding part of those gains is that there was no counter-party broker in between himself and his purchasing power. Dollars erode over time and so you are sort of compelled to chase yield in the overleveraged credit markets. That's not the case with precious metals. The stock market can't go up forever just as we can't just endlessly borrow and spend money without a bill coming due. When the losses are actualized, this guy will be unique in his allocation of resources. Paper portfolio owners will be seething uncontrollably once they feel the effects of commodities repricing to accomodate all of the inflation. The "free money" retirement boat the elite created for themselves is getting too heavy. Too many people can eat without working. So from a game-theory perspective they have to be kicked off and told to tread water with the rest of the tax-cattle. This is why the world's gold is tucked away in the vaults. They revalue it to default on all the paper they've been spending and we were too foolish to be hoarding as if it was real. The normalcy bias will be fatal, and normalcy bias is at the heart of IQ Dalit's talking points.

>The normalcy bias will be fatal
Old screenshot, yet the message is still as valid as ever.
>A fool and his money are soon separated.
The narratives are the "fool errands" of normalcy biases. As 8t right now 23,000 employees at the federal reserve and growing. Laureates of indoctrination (oof I mean higher education) into MMT deficit inversion theory. All that fancy education with the fundamental fact that negative numbers cannot be proven mathematically. Such shame, make sure to treat them well as they greet us entering Walmart.

So I have been getting silver here and there. And I have some of those good dollar things that are like gold leaf pressed into plastic or something.

Anyway, how exactly are you meant to make good on this stack eventually? Like what is the end game for it?
It's just an inflationary hedge then? Because I don't see any of this going to the moon it seems more like the value just adjusts more readily with inflation.

Honestly I just keep getting it because I want to fill a treasure chest with precious metal coins.
>>
>>62485362
it's gonna moon to $300+ an ounce soon due to nonstop demand for it and a supply deficit that keeps expanding
>>
Lmao, idiots were buying silver st $130 and now they are down 70% in a few months
>>
I could obtain some 10 x 2 625er Hindenburg silver for 13 EUR each, and some more recent months (626 Deutsche Mark), good prices, all used but like new. Also for stack fun aglomerated bronze coins+copper medals from different countries like Canada, U.K. Holland, Danmark, Norge, Suomi, Sweden, Italy, PL, Portugalia, Belgien, USA (pre 1982), Swiss, Austria, Australia, Jordania, Turkey, Czech Republik, BRD 2 Pfennige (1950-1968/69), few Africans (Sierra Leone, Malawi, Tansania), all pre 1996. Nice cheapies. Use magnet on fleamarkets to seperate them from those later ones with iron core. ... Also about to stock up cash fiat pile for special times comming. Summer, sun, .... work. Happy stacking, we will never surrender.

Ask yourself what is going to happen to the USD? If the answer is endless inflation chasing a debt bubble that can never be contained, then the next question is where are you going to put your wealth that isn't going to evaporate with the coming shitstorm? By process of elimination you arrive at hard assets. Can't store enough of most commodities to be practical. Real estate is in a bubble. So what's left? People here think it is precious metals. Nobody knows what the world will look like after the current global financial order collapse, but there is a good chance that gold and silver, which have maintained their value for thousands of years, will emerge in good standing. Will they make you rich? I don't know, but in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

By the way, I learned something new about the old Sodium Bicarbonate and Aluminum in hot water trick to cleaning silver. Its not stripping an silver molecules at all, in fact it retains the total weight of your silver, what you do when you clean silver like that is essentially overcharge your silver atoms to the point that they no longer want to get sticky with sulfur atoms and the sulfur gets released as H2S and the aluminum foil acts as a sacrificial metal to also take on Sulfur atoms. Outside of vintage jewelry and numismatic coins there's zero downsides to not making your pure silver shine outside of time and making a room smell like rotten eggs for a moment.

The infinite inflation/deflation is inherently unstable because it is an exponential function. You can't NOT pay interest because no one will hold bonds and just opt for cash instead. The $46TN bond market is so large by design because it helps hide inflation.
The only trick they have is "targeted bankruptcies" to destroy demand to be paired with even more government deficit spending to hopefully maintain some dangerous balancing act.
It's nothing but a can-kick though. Eventually the world is simply going to have to jettison the dollar and the global central banks appear to be setting up for exactly that. They can't keep allowing dollar dilution to raise commodity prices and thereby compel them to chase even more dollars. It makes no sense to give so much competitive advantage to your adversaries when we are flat-out broke.
Even domestically, the ability of our own citizens to live in this economy is slipping by the day. It's not always possibly to just magically increase everyone's pay to keep pace with the rising cost of living. If anything, the banks seem content to restrict demand to ease inflationary concerns.
Does the economy ever get better from here? There is no cure. And exponents over time will HALVE the doubling periods.
So mathematically, it's it's not possible.

I think it is enough that the glowies prefer that there is never a free-speech forum without some sort of fud. No matter what it is they want to drop a stinking turd on it if it's not something pro-gay and pro-isreal.
Discourse, and reason and evidence is really all you need to sort of hone in on the truth. But there are powerful people who are funding and running a massive international ponzi scheme who don't want you talking about it. There is a nation wide propaganda matrix of education, media, entertainment all pushing nonsense as well. All political discourse is stymied with frauds and lies from top to bottom. They're not going to pay an actual salary for someone to sit here and argue the merits of silver because they can't. The create a fuddy-duddy bot to ruin things.
