Vince Lansi worth listening to. No schizo “gold to 10,000 this month nonsense”. CapitalCosm has excellent guests. Rebel Capitalist. Commodity culture. Kitco. Kenesis Money (details the China moves very well). The Sirius Report (combines geopolitics markets and commodities).

Good starter pack.

Now is a good time to buy neocloud

the neoclouds have only done a 2x

They could get a 10x like memory.

AI is the real deal. It's going to be super human. It's almost there right now. And once AI is super human, compute is going to be the most precious resource on earth.

And companies with the data centres, with the compute to sell, will be very valuable. The situation right now, is there aren't enough data centres with the energy to actually run the compute. TSMC can keep pumping out chips, but they're no good if they're stuck sitting in a warehouse because there's not enough datacentres and energy to deploy them. They'll just depreciate in value every year.

The bottleneck was chips, then it was memory, and these bottlenecks still exist. But now there's not enough datacentres and energy to actually deploy the compute. This is the moment that companies like NBIS and CRWV get a return on their investments.

They're down significantly from their highs. It's a good time to get in.

The Israelis have done a lot to ruin the ceasefire, and Netanyahu has done a lot to get Trump involved in escalating violence between the US and Iran. I don't think Netanyahu wants it to work, but I think he also realizes Trump has limits to how far he will escalate and that Israel is moving toward losing political support in the US altogether without an alternative backer. I don't know if the Israelis are directly responsible for this particular breakdown in the process, but they have been adding straw to the camel's back the whole time.

the major benefit of the 457b is there is no minimum age for penalty free distribution, you just can not be working for the employer if you want to take money out. So you can retire at 35-55 and draw money from it, its just taxed. The employer set some limits on investments and likely blocks options. If you have an IRA or another 401k you can ROLL those into your 457b (removes withdraw age limits). Do your own research but always fully understand the maxium benefits to you from the plans.

Companies in the US spend half a trillion dollars every year contributing to 401ks. And then a trillion annually to healthcare insurance.

In comparison, US companies spend $100 billion annually on minimum wage wages.

If you were seriously, you'd be talking about screaming about getting rid of employer healthcare contributions to lower employer costs. But you're not going to do that because this is likely some bullshit ad hoc intellectualisation of your own selfish interests to screw over poor people more because you think you'd benefit from it.

>Does your employer offer a match in the 457b
They did not, and I do not work there anymore. I made enough to max out contributions for many years. Also note there are age bases increased limits, and if you retire after a certain date (month/day) you can sometimes double your contribution for that year and also the full amount for the next year even though you never work that year. Be sure to READ and understand exactly how your employer sponsored plan works.

>not sure what their long term economic prospects are
I'm not an expert, but I believe they can not take your money out, its your money under your control. The worst they can do is give you their stock instead of actual cash and then their stock goes to zero. But the cash you deposit is still there, and likely you can do a self directed investments - look into that also.
If you are really concerned and leave the company you can ROLL the money out to your own IRA that fully control, but the IRA has age based distribution limits.
https://www.irs.gov/retirement-plans/comparison-of-governmental-457b-plans-and-401k-plans-features-and-corrections

Explaining to you, if you were serious about lowering the costs of employment for employers, 401k contributions and healthcare plan contributions should be the first to go. Which actually total up to very significant expenses. Not minimum wage. Minimum wage is a pittance. These companies are spending a pittance on minimum wage.

But you're not saying that, so you're not serious. You haven't even agreed with me the employer healthcare contributions should go.

So what's the problem with ending 401k contributions and healthcare insurance contributions? I explained to you the huge amount of money it costs every year. Don't you want to save money for employers so they don't bring in H1B Indians? Or you don't want to give up your employer healthcare plan?

So SKHY is up by about 23% percent in the US stock market, but was only up about 4% in the Korean market. Should we expect the Korean stock to increase by +20% or can it dump from it's current Korean price at open?
Confused at how there's such a mismatch in value between markets for the same stock.

You should be agreeing with me. It's consistent to end the contributions first, before even bothering with minimum wage. It's the employer contributions that make up the difference for companies to decide to go with H1Bs.

McDonald dish washers aren't being replaced by H1Bs. It's the job that pays a $60,000 salary + $20,000 healthcare insurance coverage + $10,000 401k contributions that are the reason that companies are deciding to go with H1Bs

Not minimum wage workers LOL
