I was going to help you until>im Canadian
DCA that 30k into 85% BTC 15% ETH 2.5% SOL 2.5% ADA from october 1st to october 31stsell BTC at october 2029 (probably 200k)sell ETH around 2029, methinks ETHBTC should hit 0.05 by there ($10k)sell ADA when it gets ADAETH hits close to 0.0003 ($3, will probably happen in 2028)sell SOL around 2029, methinks SOLBTC should hit 0.002 ($400)until then stake alts and forget about it until time to sell
>>62486643sorry meant 10% ETH (15% alts)
>>62486365Buy appreciating assets and forget you have them for a few decades. If you have to ask then you're probably best off buying an index fund. Having some exposure to metals also is a good idea. I would say some crypto too but it takes a surprising amount of agency to not turn into a retarded gambler. So buy BTC and ETH at your own risk (no altcoins).
>>62486365Y'all are giving this guy some horrible fucking advice I'll be real anon, 30k is not enough money to be fucking around with on meme stocks or crypto. Before you even invest make sure you've got at least 3-6 months of money in your chequing account to cover monthly costs. Afterwards, open a TFSA and FHSA, probably at Wealthsimple since they don't charge fees for buying ETFs. Your TSFA is going to have a max amount that goes up every year, use an online calculator to see how much you can deposit inside of it before you have to deposit the rest in your FHSA. Eventually you'll max out both for the year and you'd need to invest in another account. Also, when you start earning regularly, set a minimum amount you're going to contribute every month. 100, 500, 800, etc.; the more the better but you have to be consistent. Don't skimp a month because you want to buy weed or Vidya, be disciplined with it.Next, once you have your money in an account, buy ETFs like VEQT or maybe a slight factor tilt such as 90% VEQT + 5% VMO + 5% CASV. These are robust, all equities portfolios that all follow some sort of index or rules based systems that you don't need to micromanage or keep an eye on. Indexes always give good returns for their level of volatility.Once you have your money in there, fucking hold it. Don't pull out because you don't want to wait or shit goes down, you're going to miss returns over long horizons. Keep repeating this and in due time you'll have a stable foundation of wealth. Keep at it and don't think be a retard.
>>62486365Depending on your age, put some or all of it in a self-directed TFSA at Wealthsimple, Questrade or IBKR. The TFSA is for tax-free investing in Canada and you can withdraw tax free at any time, with restrictions on contribution limits.Wealthsimple is for babies who need simple interface for basic investing on their phone, it's similar to Robinhood. Questrade is like the Canadian Fidelity for more serious investing, and IBKR is for advanced investors/traders who need the best margin rates. As for what stocks/ETFs. That's up to you. Canadian version of VOO is VFV.TO if you just want to chill in index funds. Canada also has higher-yield covered call ETFs with zero or low NAV erosion due to different tax treatment compared to US covered call ETFs. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQoyQTDUCzo for how to get like 30-40% yields.Do not listen to tards telling you to buy crypto. You can buy exposure to crypto, crypto treasury companies or crypto miners through stocks and ETFs, and do so tax free. TFSA's don't allow crypto and buying and reporting crypto gains in Canada will guarantee a CRA audit.
>>62486747>Before you even invest make sure you've got at least 3-6 months of money in your chequing account to cover monthly costs. This is also good advice, but honestly, just get a couple of credit cards and a credit line at a bank (the banks will offer it to you once they see you have regular income). Use the credit line for liquidity if you need it in emergencies, while waiting for the transfer out of brokerage to settle the balance. You can also use the credit line to optimize RRSP contributions via the RRSP gross-up strategy later on, if you can manage to find a decent job to make it worthwhile in this nightmare economy.
>>62486747>FHSAOne caveat about the FHSA that most people don't know about is that unused contribution room has a one year expiration. So DO NOT open an FHSA unless you can contribute the full $8000 each year, every year, for five years straight, otherwise you won't get the full benefit.
>>62486747>>62486751>>62486761I forgot to include because I thought my thread died, I have expenses covered mostly because im going to uni and my parents like me enough to pay for it
Unironically, there are women who, in return for half your money, will give you sexual experiences so intense you will actually level up into a high earner.

>>62486365Literally 100% into chainlink. That’s like 3,500 Link. You’ll be retired by the time you are 23-25, at absolute worst 30. You will KYS future self if you don’t do this. You’ll be in the prime of your life with nothing when you could have had everything. 3,500 will be a mammoth OG stack to the plebs in 10 years time.
>>62487079can you give some reasoning? idk I looked it up it doesnt look like its doing to good
>>62487083link is a failed investment that is already 10 years in. Ignore link shilling on this board, you're going to see it a lot.
>>62487089Stop scaring off exit liquidity you faggots.
>>62487089I figured it was but just wanted to see what they had to say, there seems to be a lot of that on here
>>62487095I already exited, why should I care about your exit?
>>62487098There was merit to the thesis and business idea in the early days, but the people actually behind link have totally fumbled the execution. Link's failure however did help me avoid the pitfalls of crypto this cycle, as link's investment thesis was "Either link is worthwhile, or none of crypto is." Our reality has resulted in the latter. If you're going to touch crypto at all, stick to the two majors, bitcoin or ethereum.
>>62487083All of crypto becoming mainstream depends on Link. It’s the plumbing of the new financial system. Don’t listen to the faggot above this post. You have 2 amazing things going for you….1. You are young as fuck. So even if it ended up taking another 10 years (it won’t) to really moon… it wouldn’t matter at all for you. Cuz you won’t even be 30 yet.2. You have JUST enough money where you can get a very sizable stack compared to everyone else out there. The next wave who starts to buy once it starts going mainstream will be lucky if they can get 300 Link
>>62487120idk man it crypto doesnt seem like its going to really take off again, especially not this specific coin
>>62487083These faggots don’t want you in. Cuz they know. You seem like a nice kid so I’m helping you out. >>62487089>>62487095
>>62487123Alright. Have fun. You’ll see. You are gonna regret is fully.
