Fuck taxes, killed my bonus
this another thread where we larp (and by we, I mean you) that we're making 480,000 a year working 2 hours a week picking our butt and smelling it?
You voted for this.
pretty sure I paid less taxes than this and made more money working part time at UPS. what state do you live in, OP. that is an insane amount of money to lose to taxes for someone only grossing 40k.
>>62490534Why do poors get so butthurt that others live on easy mode? I'm a trust fund recipient and will never have to dirty my hands. Umad?
>>62490534I made a bit over 260 last year and paid something like 110k in taxes I for sure dont do jack shit at my job though I just do lots of OT. Might recalibrate some equipment and run a scan or two thats about it.
>>62490534I make $130K and work 60 hour weeks. Not glamorous at all.
>>62490588The 40K was just my bonus for the year. My base salary is 90K and I live in Florida

Yeo bonuses always get taxed a ton because employers don’t have to pay their side of taxes on bonusesMy Christmas bonus was 30k and I got l less than 20
Ive never been taxed on bonuses... uhh? my boss does it as a gift, if ure being taxed, it means u work for a very jewish company
>>62490497My Christmas bonus is $50 but after taxes it's $30. Not only is my bonus less, but it gets taxed at a higher rate than you.
Half a year away but that tax return will be nice at least. If you gamble all your bonus away you'll have $5k you can get back in February
>>62490497bonuses are taxed at the same rate as ordinary income. you'll get the excess withholding back as a tax refund. t. CPA who receives an annual bonus
>>62499268he's doing something illegal and if the IRS catches on, they're going to fuck you and your boss up the ass with taxes, penalties, and fees.

>>62490497Imagine not working a 1099 job
>>62490881you make less than I would as a CNC machinist in seattle with only 5 years of experience if I worked the same hours.
should argue with payroll that you "earned that over the course of a year and, therefore, it should be taxed as such," We did that at my old workplace for our "years of service" checks - made everyone much happier to get a check that would buy more than a case of beer for a change.
