Frens i’ve been using AI to check on my work. i have a pain in the ass process to do where I need to check financial data from a few reports and check if they foot properly.I’ve managed to turn a 8 hour+ task to like 1 hour-2 using AI. I’ve spot checked it for like the first 10 instances but i think I got the prompt right.Is it worth telling my boss? I feel bad for essentially fucking around for most of the day.

Absolutely not. He'll probably even take credit for it if he's savvy. You'll just be given more shit to do, or people will start to think you do nothing all day.
So in this type of scenario, what is the downside to just coasting? Eventually what if someone else figures out a similar thing and then takes credit for it, robbing you of your idea? I used to be a person that would share any time saving automation I create with my team. Now I instead keep it all to myself and effectively smurf at work, running circles around my coworkers in terms of how quickly I can actually complete my work but I don't turn it in early. I bask in the free time.Life is much better now.
