I've lost a lot of money speculating the past three years. I won't say how much because you literally won't believe me. I've tried to quit but I keep getting sucked into manic episodes where I'm convinced a stock will moon. How do I fix this problem before I'm homeless?
>>62498651For me, whenever I feel the itch to gamble I just put it into an index fund then move on.
>>62498663I do the same thing. Lost a small but not insignificant 4 figure amount and just decided to cut that shit off.
>>62498651This is why I just do 20% VGT, 80 VOO and chill. I’m a midwit retard and I’m too lazy and risk intolerant to do anything beyond this.
>>62498651I lost 14 million in the past year speculating so yes, in fact, I would probably believe how much you've lost.
>>62498721JFC that's almost 10x what I've lost. What the fuck did you speculate on?
>>62498721Wow
>>62498651Unironically, do the most basic technical analysis, and you won't fuck up your entry & exits >keltner channels>RSI>200 day moving averageIf you're buying something that is above the KC, above 70 RSI, way above the 200 day MA, you are asking to get fuckedBuy when it's in the lower range of the KC, below 70 RSI, and above (but not drastically above) the 200 day MA and you won't get get sucked into horrible entries that bleed out quickly>muh TA male astrologyGenuinely, just take a look at these 3 things before you buy>pic related"omg PLTR is at $200 it's going to the moon I should buy here!"just by doing this very simple TA you save yourself from a pie in the facethis works for every stock, every index, every assetit's really that simpleI am not talking about longterm investments, TA is useless for that; but for timing your entry & exits.. you will save yourself a lot of money just by looking at these 3 things, save yourself from buying the top when the mania is peaking
