I'm only going to post this once, for two reasons1. I feel a duty to inform you fags given I've been lurking this board for so long.2. I want to be able to point back at this post forever, the first eCash alpha, for pure self pleasure.Bitcoin is hardforking on the 22 aug. Not the 110 bullshit, but eCash, a continuation of the Bitcoin project without all the gatekeeping and baggage. You havent heard of it because its not loud, its the quiet next move for the money that matters. For the newfags I'll break it down simply. Bitcoin has the ability to do softforks, a 100% safe, backwards compatibility, opt-in, ignorable upgrades that Satoshi left the ability for. The reasons that they arent used is a simple fact that Bitcoins leadership has been compromised, and its mindshare is being wasted on purposeful dead ends like Lightning and ARK. Simple opcodes like OP-VAULT, OP-CAT, and BIP-300 & 301 havent been merged and shit like Taproot has is insane. The focus is to redirect fees to corporations on top instead of the network itself.eCash is an exact fork of Bitcoin Core, with only softfork being added. Being always compatible with Bitcoin Core, inheriting all the future work for free. BIP-300 & 301 softforks are initially added to allow for Drive Chains. Merge mined Sidechains for Bitcoin that enable Bitcoin to actually function and Hyper Bitcoinization to actually happen, while preserving the security model, and keeping the base chain easily verifiable.Future generations will see Bitcoin as V1 of something that became V2: eCash on August 22nd. The realization will be slow and painful, but extremely profitable for those who know. Its necessary that the Bitcoin project continue, with or without the name
Your thread answered my question about which Bitcoin continuation projects should I dumped my hard earned money on next? I was in the dark but now I see the light. Thank you faggot.
>>62499074Its the continuation because unlike every other scam you're getting 1:1 your Bitcoin holdings out of 21m, but it actually does things. It will beat Bitcoin, youre welcome, fag
>>62499072I'm going to mine it like a total pig with my BitAxe 601.
>>62499078This very good bitcoin saar
It's 2026 you stupid asshole, no one cares about crypto anymore.
>>62499072I thought eCash (XEC) forked years ago? Amaury led the development. What the heck, is there another ecash now?
An ecash just flew over my house. I'll put some money on it though. Thanks for the hot tip.
>>62499072>eCash is an exact fork of Bitcoin Core, with only softfork being addedNo, it's a hard fork that includes "manually reassigning" Satoshi's coins for the eCash developers and investors. But you're right Bitcoin is fucked from development perspective and needs a hard fork to move forward. At the same time it should future proof its chain security by adding tail issuance (break meme 21M promise) or switch to PoS, and maybe add other non-Bitcoin functionality that's hard to add later. Forking Bitcoin is still one of the the best ways to distribute supply fairly, but this absolutely shouldn't include stealing other people's coins, even if they've been sitting dormant for a long time.
>>62499549How do you determine which coins are satoshi's? Sure the first block rewards are his but that's nowhere near 500k tokens. So are we just taking unspent coins that may or may not be satoshi's coins? Distributing supply fairly is not desirable or valuable in this context.
>>62499578>How do you determine which coins are satoshi's?Google "Patoshi pattern". When people talk about Satoshi's coins they are referring to these 1.1M BTC that have this unique "mining fingerprint". >So are we just taking unspent coins that may or may not be satoshi's coins?Yes.>Distributing supply fairly is not desirable or valuable in this context.Of course distributing coin supply fairly is desirable when a new chain launches.
>>62499578>Distributing supply fairly is not desirable or valuable in this context. The context is they mined 1.1 million coins, like the other anon said, google the Patoshi Pattern. Satoshi will now have 1.1 million Bitcoin + 550k ecash. Their wallets actually have more coins than before the fork. We all know that Bitcoin is never moving though, it was never intended to. A small price to pay for saving every other users money, and moving again towards the Bitcoin endgame.

>>62499549>At the same time it should future proof its chain security by adding tail issuance (break meme 21M promise) or switch to PoSAdding 300 & 301 softforks are the only real solution to NOT break the 21m promise. With Drivechains enabled, miners get all the fees from any number of chains, all using the same base unit. These fees will start replacing the block rewards as they continue to halve away. This was all supposed to already have been implemented on BTC a decade ago, but as I said its compromised and nothing useful will be merged.
Just buy monero lol
>>62499719The better approach would've been to mint new coins instead of stealing old ones. Breaking the 21M meme supply cap is more neutral than choosing Satoshi to be a victim of theft.
>>62499767How is it theft if the Satoshi wallet still has 1.1m Bitcoin?
>>62499781It's theft on ecash chain. Satoshi wallets get different treatment compared to other wallets. They could've taken a 2% tax from all wallets instead. Or just print new supply (same outcome with direct tax vs. tax through inflation).
BSV solves the shit coin problem
>>62499072Whats the plan to defend the network against 51% attacks? Looks to be that the 6+ chains will be merge mined but they compete with all forks for hashrate. Do they think people will stop mining btc after the bip110 passes?
>>62499072>You havent heard of it because its not loud, its the quiet next move for the money that matters. There was a thread about it a couple of weeks ago. We where talking about ways to dump it for more btc.
that's disappointing that existing bitcoin will be grandfathered in, I thought they were going to start from scratch
>>62500729who says BIP-110 will pass? Saylor is taking a hard stance against it
