Here's my monero story.Making purchases from an online vendor for several years. Always used Western Onion. Simple. One short trip to the local drug store, a few minutes at the kiosk, and done. Then one day I get ready to check out and the vendor says "No more Western Onion". Shit. They have a list of payment methods. BTC, Litecoin, etc. Down the list I see Monero. I had seen enough to know there was a "fuck the government" narrative I liked that went with Monero, so I decided I would venture into it.I had never owned crypto. Never had a need and am not interested in speculation. So it was all new to me. Do the research. Need an exchange to trade USD for XMR. But only a few exchanges deal in XMR. But AssKraken still deals in the outlaw coin, so I set up an account. And I set up a wallet. Buy some XMR, withdraw to my wallet, and voila! little numbers appear in my portfolio. I'm feeling like I'm not as dumb as I look. I go ahead and make the purchase using XMR. The purchase involved two sub-vendors. One delivered immediately. One got lost in transit but the vendor made good on it. So, first XMR transaction worked and I didn't have to leave Mommy's basement!A few months pass, I have some XMR left in my wallet, and I go to make another purchase from the same vendor. Now they don't take Monero! Fucking pussies! I send my XMR back to Kraken. I could exchange for BTC but then I have to set up another wallet. So I decide to just exchange for USD into my bank account.Not sure where to go with it now. I guess the point of the story is this question: is monero slowly getting shut out of commerce?
