Hi guys. I’m a 36 year old male paralegal. I’m tall and good looking and don’t fit the demographic. After college I got into law school but couldn’t go because I’ve had a long history of personal and psychological problems and spent years drinking it all away while working at law firms. I feel that I was truly supposed to be a lawyer but my background is messed up and I’m a bit of a broken person. So I just stayed in paralegal land.

In my 20’s I made like $30k, $50k, $70k. I had the med school girlfriend who I couldn’t keep up with who ended up with a guy from a rich family.

Of course an outsider like me who couldn’t reach his potential tried to make it another way: taking out loans to invest in crypto. And I lost bad.

I was lucky and got a job in SF as a paralegal making something like $170k total comp after overtime and everything. But I still have one more year to go to pay off this debt and by then I’ll be 37 years old.

I’m in a good tier of law firms now but paralegal career trajectory isn’t as stable as lawyers. If I lose this job I might have to make like $75k in a year from now. Or, my luck could go positive and I could land as similar job to the one I have now.

No wife. No kids. Failed at life in a sense.

My question is. What do I do? Pay this debt and then try to do night law classes and become a lawyer by 41? Then try to get the wife and kids?

Accept my fate and be happy I have this job and once out of debt max 401k and index funds and try to keep this level of pay for the next 20 years?

As I mentioned I’m tall and good looking but when I go on dates with women a lot of them seem to find my career incompatible?

I realize that some people might think my position is relatively good and others mights think it’s terrible. Still need to pay off this debt for a year. What do I do in the next 5 years?

>when I go on dates with women a lot of them
There is other way to get woman besides dating, the best way by far is beat her into submission, put her into debt slave to a point she can’t reject, which has been legit more effective than trying to convince her for breeding.
