>houthis start fucking with shipping through bab al mandeb strait again
>this combined with strait of hormuz being closed will cause massive supply shock to oil
>biz completely ignoring it

You don't realize how fucked we actually are. This will cause stagflation, which under normal conditions isn't a good thing, but Warsh is a project 2025 plant and has already signaled he is on board with their plan to get rid of the dual mandate and replace it with a single mandate on price stability. This will cause him to tighten way more than a sane fed chair ever would while the economy is shitting the bed thanks to a supply shock to oil.

You will never be able to just fix actual oil supply shocks with monetary magic. It will never work. Oil is the one thing that can actually predictably fuck up the economy.

If you are not factoring in major economic doom starting sometime in the next year you are insane.

Oil schmoil. I'm still buying crypto.

the absolute state of your geopolitical awareness
Do you actually think Trump is fucking with 20% of the global oil supply because he wants to liberate Iran? Do you think he renamed the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America for fun? Learn to read between the lines.

Get gassed, you braindead migger.

Also, do you think the US is currently occupying Venezuela to defeat narco-terrorism? Give me a break.

So Gold and Silver Mines will moon beyond all measures? Based. Most of my wealth is in Newmont and Barrick.

I don't like Trump. I've never voted for him. I'm just quite good at this kind of analysis.

No, because again, the cause of the inflation this time is due to a real supply shock rather than because monetary policy was too loose. These create fundamental differences. When loose monetary policy is the cause, say in the wake of an economic stimulus, then prices go up because lots of people have money for the same number of goods. It's different when the inflation is being driven by an actual reduction in supply of goods. Energy is a basic and fundamental input to literally every output in our economy. If you have less of it, less economic activity will occur because you need energy to do work.

So if you are getting rising prices because there aren't enough goods to go around, then everyone's money is tight. Instead of looking to invest and save, they are forced to spend a greater proportion of their wealth on basic necessities. This means gold will tank. The only way that doesn't happen is if the fed turns on the money printers, but Warsh has shown he is a tard who will do his master's bidding and they want to tighten to deal with an actual supply shock which is just madness. If you decrease the money supply during a downturn, it only makes the problem worse and could trigger another great depression.

If warsh can be talked out of tightening during an oil supply shock this might turn out to be a nothingburger, but he already signaled his intention to do exactly that. This is a total contraversion of orthodox monetary policy and something only mentioned in project 2025 which Trump and the republicans have been slavishly implementing.

So you are telling me to buy oil stocks? Based. I've got a huge CVX position, too.

Gold miners mooned in the great depression, btw.

>>62504263
Yes goy, buy oil stocks, surely they will pump massively during the collapse
>>
>>62504266
world was on the gold standard back then though.

Now prices have spiked because of high demand from data centers, but that demand will be temporary. We will always need some for datacenters, but nowhere near the same amount as during the initial building boom we are in.

desu, most oil stocks will be high as long as they're not from the geopolitically affected regions. This war has distorted the market quite a bit. Everyone outside the gulf is making bank and will be for some time while the gulf states are trapped unable to sell their oil and will have to cap a bunch of wells that won't come back online easily any time soon. Then you have the fact that strategic reserves will need to be replenished. They usually wait for low oil prices to do most of that, but reserves have gotten so low they won't be able to wait. This will support prices for some time. There will eventually be large scale demand destruction once the economic pain is felt, but who knows what the timeline is for that. These things take years sometimes and the timeline isn't always the same for every country.

I see i struck a nerve there. Thank you, i'm going to keep on buying.

at what point do miggers just admit that he's not pretending and he's just a senile old man doing senile old man things?
>>
>>62504290
Based and logicalpilled

I will say that the demand destruction won't be as massive as some are predicting. The market priced in most of what is happening, by now. It could stay like this for a long, long time while oil climbs.

There's also the other problem of the current wells not being capable of being capped, they have to be pumped. if they're capped, saltwater intrudes on the wells and that's the end of the well. Even burning them would be a better use of time.
