I have college paid for. What should I go to school for? I don't want to be an engineer. Is there any good growing careers to beeline for?
>>62505875get into the workforce now for like 2-3 years and you'll know the answerdon't go to college without full time work experience
>>62505875Robotics or Asian Languages. Anything else and you are wasting your time. If you don't care about employment afterwards, try Theater, Fine Arts, or nursing so you can meet slutty girls.
>>62505907I'm 29 and make $150k already but I want to change careers >>62505908>meet slutty girlsGetting married soon and gonna put a couple kids in my wife>Asian Languages Learning Mandarin could be interesting
>>62505875literally killed his gf and lost his obvious for breaching nda filming this very tictoc. this is what you deserve being a proud wagie
>>62505926>I'm 29 and make $150k already but I want to change careerswhy do you want to interrupt your current life to change careers? are you living in a high col area? >mandarinI don't have the archive but there have been anons with horror stories of being the guy who had to deal with Chinese suppliers and their bullshit
>>62505991>why do you want to interrupt your current life to change careers?I'm traveling constantly and this job doesn't translate to back home. I have 350k saved up at least. Unrelated to my college being paid for
>>62505943> retard alert>>62505875Project management is easier than engineering and likely not going anywhere. Also becoming a CPA, which wouldn’t have travel ever, unlike project management potentially requiring travel. I’m convinced cyber security is still an important job but the market isn’t reflecting that. Business owners still devalue it up until they get ransomed. If you’re into sales, idk what degree you could get for that. Probably finance, psychology or some bs. I always tell people to do sales if they have the personality and stomach for it. Especially for a company like NWM. If you want a family you should definitely go for something rewarding like sales or PM. CPAs can make a good chunk of money but getting a cushy high paying job is extremely competitive and based on more than skill usually.
>>62506176>Also becoming a CPALol my girlfriend is a CPA already. I have a security clearance still so maybe cyber security
>>62506307>I have a security clearance still ask around your community and see what they need. they're usually happy to tell you what would get you hired
>>62505875I trained to be a power engineer. I retired at 43. Helps to be a bit autistic but not like programmer socks autistic. You need to be very good at about grade 10 math and be able to remember a massive amount of trivia.
>>62506307> security clearanceSoo former military? Learn about contracting and get into defense related sales. Those cover all industries btw, if you’re not into selling weapons. It can be insufferable though, govt cunts are just so cunty and lazy sometimes
>>62506338That’s cool, I’ve heard this industry is desperate for people. Do you think that’s still true? Idk anything about the pay
>>62506336Yeah there's just not many clearance jobs back home, at least for my current industry >>62506541>govt cunts are just so cunty100%
Is pre-law, and law school worth it in 2026? Or completely soul crushing?
>>62505875>lower you toneIs that because his ears hurt after a 20h shift? LMFAO
>>62506685Law school is interesting if you have the kind of logical brain for it. Law practice, on the other hand, is NOT interesting. It is tedious, stressful, and demanding of your time. It pays well IF you graduate near the top of your class.
>>62506663clearance is clearance, and says enough about your character to be transferrable. If you're willing to go to school anyway, ask around and see what you need to study regardless of industry. the point is to get paid and leverage your clearance which will be a distinct advantage that opens up opportunities most of the job market can't qualify for.
>>62506176Cousin has a masters in Biz Management and another in Psych nigger stocks shelves don’t go to college
>>62506550They are desperate for people with 20 years experience that will work for exposure. But yeah they need more people in oil and gas, power plants, big buildings and now maybe at AI data centers. It's a regulated trade so you can start working as like a 5th class assistant but most employers are not training people, so you need to take 2 years at school to come out as a 3rd class, maybe write your tests for being a 2nd class and then get registered steam time. But don't expect an employer to care you paid for your 2nd class testing. Cheap SOBs.
>>62505875>If you have less than one DUI and vehicular manslaughter charge lower your tone when talking to me
>>62505943that's not even the same person, are you blind?
>>62506699Yeah I'd just hope there's a specific chill corner I could stick to
>>62505875Is he getting fucked in his sleep to put down 100h a week?
How about flight school? I thought this image was funny
You cant lower your tone Rtard
>>62507352yes it is you fucking retard
>>62509610wrong
>>62509597Yes sir
>>62511023prove me wrong
>>62505875It is crucial that you select something that directly qualifies you for an in demand job. Preferably an in demand industry that can withstand market and employment trend fluctuation. Do not major in something that has an unclear path from degree completion to entry level job in that field even if the degree seems like it would be useful. The very best example of what I'm talking about is medicine: lab tech, pharmacist, nurse, doctor etc. You finish the school you do the practicum+, you get the job. That is the kind of degree you want. Everything else is a waste of time and waste of money.
>>62505875If you work less than 60 uncompensated hours a week on top of your full-time hours, lower your tone with me.
Bump
>>62505875Electrical if you can swing it. Controls for the easy life. Go to work under someone with a license and get one. I didn't think it would be worth it. It is. >>62506176Project management has a low barrier to entry so it will always be flooded midwits and the work itself is annoying, everyone is always calling you with problems you have to solve for them. Fuck that.
