You have zero idea what you are talking about, and probably already lost your job to AI.

enlighten us wizard. how has AI improved in the past few years? how are people utilizing it more than a glorified photoshop, vibe-coder, email-responder and girlfriend/boyfriend?

The only companies that have made money from AI are hardware companies like Nvidia, Micron, SK Hynix, etc.

There has been zero demonstrable value created from the massive AI investments (specifically LLMs, the ironic thing is there is AI that is valuable but it isn't part of the hype). The C-suite just thinks it's creating value because they do nothing all day except meetings, reading/writing emails, and preparing speeches. They think since it saves them some time (at the cost of much worse output and diminishing of their own skills), that it should apply to everything.

The chances of sophisticated cyber attacks went up 8x and drones can still kill you now when the lose signal. The real advances are in automating sweat shops, but thats rarely talked about because the west is falling behind in AI. Opensource chinese models will continue to mog western ones and despite this they also are ahead in the form of regulatory safety nets.

Those are good applications but don’t match the hype they fed investors of being able to effectively automate the workforce.

This week AI disproved the Jacobian conjecture, a math problem which has remained intractable among elite math people for the past 100 years.

nya nya nya nya!

if at all, then it found an counter-example, which is not that hard (it's a simple expression, probably could be as well bruteforced, if anyone cared). the ai might as well bruteforce it too.

I still haven't figured out what AI even does.
They "implemented" AI at my company and the only thing people do with it is make it spit out a safety topic for the 5 minute intro at the start of meetings. It's basically a magic gumball machine.
90% of AI usage is creating porn.
Even if it did have the capability of wiping out the white-collar service sector, that is the basis of the entire national economy, so I'm not seeing the value.

>>62506775
This!
>>
>>62507014
Fuck?
>>
>>62506769
Ai was "stagnating" for like 10 years before 2023. A new breakthrough could happen literally any time. What do you expect some new news every week?
>>
>>62506999
>drones can still kill you now when the lose signal
That has nothing to do with LLMs.
>>
>>62507699
And? Stupid people only used computers for stupid things. Stupid people only used the internet for stupid things. Stupid people only used social media for stupid things. Stupid people only used smart phones for stupid things. Stupid people only used crypto for stupid things. Stupid people only used VR for stupid things.
>>
>>62506769
When all the big players say "I think it's time we start selling shares" the outlook is very clear
>>
>>62506988
C suite can be replaced by AI though and these people still have their jobs
really makes you think
>>
i'm a lawyer and LLMs have doubled my output. the worst parts of my job are now automated (first drafts of letters, emails, court documents) and I can focus on strategy and client interface, the stuff that actually matters. this is the golden age of practicing law.
>>
>>62508993
until you get disbarred for citing something that never happened
>>
>>62509261
no competent lawyer uses general LLMs for case law research. We have specialized AI for case law research and we review every cited decision to make sure it doesn't hallucinate (specialized case law AI does NOT hallucinate). If double checking every fact and authority is not second nature to you, you must be some blue collar broke nigger that knows nothing about the actual professional world, or a NEET or human resources beta or public service retard.
>>
>>62508993
>doubled your output
are you a firm owner?
>>
>>62509349
no, firm owners would experience at best a 30% bump since so much of their job is running the office and making sure vendors/employees get paid

i'm a partner, which means i share in the profits and keep a large chunk of the revenue i generate. and even if i wasn't a partner, AI increases the productivity of our associates which leads to them earning much larger year end bonuses. it's clear which juniors at my firm leverage AI and which ones don't.
>>62509367
you have no idea what you're talking about, do you?

>>
The product isn't the AI, it's the stock
>>

every single Chinese models hallucinates they are "Claude", which suggest that A LOT of Claude generated synthetic data was used for training.
>>

This. It should be obvious by now.
