I think my current net worth is around 600K, depending what value my condo has. I don't count my condo as net worth because I need a place to live, also net worth doesn't make money. Been investing from 2000 when I started working.$50K in tax free dividends is when I've made it. I'm at $25K now but that's already more than I spend, and 60% of my investments are growth not yield. I hope I get get to my target before the correction.I'm taking dividends now so that I can buy back in over time not just wait on growth of value.
>>62508382serious question what can you do with $10mil that you cant do with like $4-5mil?
I will consider myself to have made it if I can afford to live in my car full-time. I need about 12k per year to do this.
>>625084055m gets u like $250k interest per year in bank interest10m gets u like $500k interest per year in bank interest
€16mI would take €1m out at €5m though as made that mistake before.
>>62508405Is not what you can do (at least when it comes to reasonable things) is about a level of peace of mind. With 10M you can set up an ideal environment to live and relax 99%, with 4M you can set up an ideal environment to live and relax 75%
I have a wife, house and a kid at 29 in a 1st world country. I made it
>>62508425>>62508529wouldnt change anything and 75% is fud its more like 98%
>>62508376>current net worthabout -40k $>>how long you've been investingI don't really have funds to invest>>how much you have to make before you've "made it"I'm not going to "make it" so it doesn't matter

At about $1.3m invested working becomes much more flexible. At double that working becomes entirely optional.
>how much you have to make before you've "made it"You forced me to think about it and realise I won't make it
>>62508376I just want passive like 50k a year doing nothing. I don’t need to status max and be a multi millionaire. I just don’t want to work and enjoy my hobbies and be able to afford rent and good quality food
>>62508425No bank has a safe 5% APR. it’s more like 2.5%. At least here in Canada
