No jokes please. Let's get serious.
>Does QCOM have a future?
From all chip stocks this has been the one lagging the most. Lagging behind the entire industry. I was hoping for it to pump like the others and placed a limit order, but the longer I wait for it to hit my limit, the more I am eyeing other companies like ARM, AVGO, MU (already have in my portfolio).
>Should I waste 1000$ on this company?
Is there any hope of it grabbing a piece of the market? IoT, 5G, chips for the car industry. I just really want to invest in a nice growth stock and forget about it for the next 10 years. Now with Chinas involvement and GenZ Koreans selling their mother's ashes to purchase stocks, it seems tech in general is so volatile, I need to check on my portfolio daily, which defeats the purpose of long term investing.

What established companies, possibly in the same sector, can you advise me to purchase instead. Or is QCOM going to take back the market once AI can be stored locally in small gadgets, robots, wearables etc.?

I might not be the most qualified person to answer, since I don't know the company very well, but if the goal is peace of mind, why not just buy a semiconductor ETF?
