Sometimes I sit and stare at the wall and think to myself “why do I have to work?” Why were my boomers in particular so ineffective? You figure that all of our boomers should have at least 1-3 properties since most of our parents were born in the 60s and grew up in the 80s. The median sales housing price in 1980 was less than 125k if I’m not mistaken. You gotta think, most of our boomers have the education of 6th graders with some college bcuz most of them are blue collar workers. I guess some families in capitalism are permanent serfs and some families are owners. It’s really just that simple. But myBoomers parents left them a million dollars house in Florida but it had to be sold to take care of their parents into nursing home. That then begs the question if regular families can even “make it” for the next gen if they “lose it all” during end of life. It’s all very rigged I think and I feel shame for being mean to my boomers randomly but at the same time baffled on how we did notMake it. Such a scam system I guess.

My immigrant parents had no college (mom no high school) and still ended up with a paid off house and 2 rentals through sheer hard work and saving. Im proud of what they accomplished
