I started an HSA this year, is it worth it to max it out? Maximum is $4400 this year.
>>62523124are you maxing out your other retirement accounts? do you have any high interest debt? do you have any recurring medical bills?
>>62523142Maxed out IRA. Not maxing out 401(K) just doing about $5500 into that (5%). High interest debt - mortgage at 7%Recurring medical bills - no
Yes its the most valuable retirement plan in the USA. Put in the max every year. Get doctors notes so you can use it for non HSA approved stuff like massages
Dont even pay your medical bills like it all go to collections fuck your credit score its all pointless jewish nonsense so you can get a crisp 6.5% mortgage rate instead of 7%Once you reach like 100k in the HSA you've made it. Imagine a luxury 5-10k a year untaxed you can spend on most medical equipment and meds. You will continue to not pay the urgent care or ER bills
>>62523148hsa contributions are treated like traditional ira income if you withdrawl them for non medical expenses after age 65. I would max out hsa contributions before putting more into your 401k.
>>62523124Have you considered doing a mortgage recast to pay less? Also for savings you can earn 8.5% on OKX for the next year on anything deposited and held in RLUSD or USDG before August 7 (I think is the cutoff) and 5% on all other crypto.
>>62523501You have to first opt in in the mobile OKX app, whiich before deposits! Do not forget to do this is you do so. You can also earn $500 in crypto if you use Paul Barron's referral deal thing to setup the account if you don't already have one. I used to do the high yield savings but this is more than 2x what I was getting.
>>62523124Yes, it's worth it.There's the direct answer you wanted OP.
