Can anyone red pill me on transitioning from engineering to finance? I heard that banks and investment firms like engineers, especially ones that work in actual complex engineering fields like me and have a masters... I bet they only hire ones from the top school though, ironically those are the most incompetent engineers in practice kek
>>62524757It depends what you want to do in finance- but they’re probably not looking for someone with that type of technical skillset. It’s a hard field to get into, and they want sales guys. Basically every firm has access to the same products- so it’s about building and maintaining client relationships so that you can justify siphoning 1% of their balance every year.>t. 401k/IRA Investment advisor
