I was miserable, chronically stressed, extremely sleep deprived from waking up at stupid times, and didn't have the time or energy to go to the gym so I was a perma-DYEL for yearsWhat a fucking waste. Now I only work 2 days a week but I really wish I could get those years back.Anyone else know this feel?
>>62525770You should have a house or hundreds of thousands of dollars to show for it. If you don't then yes, you did waste your time instead of working to get a better job
>>62525807I have more money than I'll ever need at the momentYou can't get back the years you spend in the wagecage
>>62525770You didn't go to the gym because you're lazy. Do you even go to the gym now?
>>62525839Yes 6 days a week
Bump
>>62525821>More money than I'll ever needCan I have some pls? What do you do any way?No you can't get those years back, however, this is a grass-is-always-greener scenario. It is likely that if you spent your entire time in the gym and partying you would now be poorer/less skilled and think "oh if only I had worked harder. I can never get those years (of compound interest especially) back".This is just the nature of life anon. And there is no fix. I would recommend reading Meditations by Marcus Aurelius though. It may help.
>>62525770How did you quit the 9 to 5? What do you do now?
They don't call it wageslavery and wagecucking for no reason op.
>>62525770In my 20s and early 30s I worked for a start-up. Did over 50 hours per week for almost no money - programmer with income below national average.Since covid I work only from home for the same company. Now I work like 20 hours a month, I'm adding no value to the company and my income increased for some reason. Not I earn 3x the national average (4x median).
>>62528303>It is likely that if you spent your entire time in the gym and partying you would now be poorer/less skilled and think "oh if only I had worked harder. I can never get those years (of compound interest especially) back".I really doubt that lolI've learnt important skills and qualifications in my profession in these 3 years so in many ways it was necessary but still the 9-5 drudgery was awful>>62528349I only work 9-5 on one day of the weekThere are two days where I only work an afternoon shiftI'm a dentist and these part time arrangements are common
>>62525770Same but I don't even have that much money to show for it.Now I'm in my 30s and it really feels like my life is over
>>62528496>62528496Dumb retard.Do not be joker until fits. You dumb animal. Do not ever be here
>>62528552>I'm in my 30s and it really feels like my life is overWhy's that?
>>62528595I don't see a realistic path where my life will improve at all
>>62528640The path exists, you just haven't found itSometimes a path will become visible that wasn't there before, and you need to decide to follow it
>>62525770What do you work in now?
>>62528534Can you really tell when a roastie has been giving head by bruising on her soft palate?
>>62525770>The years of my 20s that I spent wagecucking 9-5 full time feel like they were wastedSpent mine in college, fucking women and jerking off... I regret nothing!
>>62528834I did too in my early 20s but that couldn't last forever unfortunately
>>62528719Dentistry>>62528825Yes
>>62528837>I did too in my early 20sYou should have gone to grad school... I liked it so much I got three master's degrees.... mainly just loved fucking university women.. these are the memories you cherish forever
>>62525843Sounds like you have a terrible routine, anon. Going everyday is a fucking meme unless you are training to be a marathon runner doing only running exercises.
>>62529047I'm doing PPLIn reality I have more rest days when I feel like it>>62528854On God?I've thought about it but man I really hated waking up early to go to lectures and seminars n sheeitwhich country did you study in?

I've been thinking for about a year of asking my employer to let me work 3 days per week, but then I remember it would affect my severance package, so I'd rather wait for them to lay me off, pay me that money and invest it in some shit
>>62529076good shit niggaim not sure if the uni culture is the same in the UK where I live. I studied in Europedidnt you still have to wake up for classes?

Man, I'm so happy that I fucked off to Japan when I graduated from university. Joined a Japanese school and was able to experience 2 more years as a student in Japan before the covid madness ruined it. Best time of my life.
