I’ve never had it, but you can tell just by looking at it that it’s meh. Go get some Boars Head genoa salami, Black Forest ham, and pepperoni. Provolone, Mayo, diced Calabrian chili spread, a good olive oil, red wine vinegar, baby organic dill pickles chopped up, and some lettuce and you’ll never eat that Jersey Mike’s crap again.

Even if this was a case of a middle class kid hitting it big by pulling himself up by his bootstraps (its not) I wouldn't be surprised that a few people hit the lottery. Statistically its bound to happen.

maybe journo already adjusted for inflation and it's 125k 2026 dollars

I go into that place once I say "half italian with everything" and the little snot goes "do you mean you want a mike's #1 sub and you want it mike's way?"

They will.
For a depreciating, non revenue producing asset of course.

The moral of the story is to create something that can be packaged up and sold to firms that will strip the assets and financialize the business. It's like raising a calf for slaughter. If you have a functional business that can feed your family for generations, you are a threat to the system. If instead you get a lottery payout as an individual, your heirs are cash rich (if your family doesn't destroy itself in the inheritance proceedings) and thus dependent on the financial system to maintain their wealth. They have created a new permanent client. And all of the cash that you allow the banks to manage is part of their pool they can use to make money.

You own a business = you make money with your own assets
You have cash = bankers and investors make money with your assets, that they hold, for a fee

They don't want you to create real wealth, they want you to CASH OUT. Got a house? CASH OUT. Got a business? CASH OUT. This is why it's such an affront to Wall Street when a company remains private, or (THE HORROR) moves to something like employee ownership. The only kind of private ownership that's kosher is a PE rollup (like the local hospital or your grandma's assisted living facility).
