When famous gets into Bitcoin?

When Elon started talking bout Bitcoin and said Tesla bought some, Bitcoin went from 30k to 60k in early 2021, that ultimately pretty much ended up being the top of that cycle besides the 2nd time it pumped above 60k again at the end of the year in 2021

Then Saylor started buying Bitcoin like crazy going from owning 200,000 Bitcoin to 800,000+ Bitcoin from 2022 to 2026, but then his buys ultimately signaled the top for the cycle

There's also Trump who was pretending and LARP'ing to care about Bitcoin and he basically rinsed crypto for billions, Bitcoin also did its first top when trump launched his memecoin

Basically why does it seem like famous/e-celebs end up fucking everything up and why does the price only go up when famous people talk about it?

Why doesn't Bitcoin go up with money printing? Its price action feels more like a shitcoin, relying entirely on social clout of whoever is talking about it, rather than just flat out mathematics of inflation/money printing

In a manner of speaking. Your intuition is right, "famous" people only start talking about crypto when they want to exit. They use their reach to bring in buyers, then dump on them. Trump's influence was especially egregious in 2025 as every single pump was shorted and dumped back down to baseline or below, essentially eating all liquidity that entered the market. Obviously he did not do this by himself, it was a collaboration with other entities in the industry who provide kickbacks and bribes in exchange for cooperation. In that regard he has behaved like a "paid pajeet." Saylor is a slightly different beast, he has acted more like a middleman attracting money from tradfi lenders (marks) and transferring it to bitcoin whales via OTC desks. It is less obvious if he is paid under the table for this service, but it would not be surprising.
