Do anons mine crypto? I bought a solo miner for bitcoin after holding for years. Its not really a investment but I think of it as a lottery ticket with 1 in 14,831 odds per year. If I win/hit a block I get 3.125 btc before next halving in 2028 and it only costs 0.10 Cents/day or $17.3/year to run. If you bought a powerball ticket for every draw of the year @ 2$ per ticket with 156 draws per year. The odds are 1,873,085 @ $312 per year. Also do anons buy lottery tickets?
>>62532573How loud is this shit?
>>62532573This means that in 14,831 years it will guarantee a profit, right?I think you are insane.
>>62532715If you have 1/14831 odds in one year, you have ~63% odds in 14,831 years.
>>62532715>>62532748After that many years you have 0% of profit because all blocks got mined.
>>62532708I felt for this meme product in January and aside of being a scam for people thinking getting rich is easy, let me tell you about how I fell for it:>The poolYou don’t really have much choice since the ASIC unit is for bitcoin so you'll end up paying more for the electricity than you could get by miningYou still can try the "lottery pool" but it’s a really bad idea because you put yourself aside more delusional dudes with more rigs/chances than you to win.>The noiseThe first two days, shit was loud but still bearable. At first I set it up in my room but it was loud as a fucking AC unité.When it started "mining", it was unbearable, and I can sleep with my 3D printer running, so I moved it out in my closet to damp a little the noise but it was no use.>The retailer I brought it from Ali Chang, bad idea some would say, but it’s basically the same bullshit as the "official" retailers. Minus the seller protection, as I enjoyed to experience. Since this bullshit was louder than my fucking TV, I asked for a refund, Chang was not happy about it and asked for a Video, I did and the refund was accepted, so Chang did a dirty trick on me by sending me a rotten QR code for the return package. I sent it back thinking everything was okay but Chang declared that I've never send it back. I doubled checked the QRcode with AI and turned out I was a "special QRcode" made by Chang himself to get the product without Aliexpress noticing. I was a retard to fell for this scam but if I can help others not to fall for the same false promises that I did, it’s still a win.
>>62532808But dude the transaction fees dude they will like at least as much as the block reward duuuude
>>62532708desu idk yet its still in the mail, but online reviews say there about 38 dB. about as loud as a refrigerator.>>62532715Im not looking at it as a way to guarantee profit. I will probably never see any profit or gains from this machine. But as a lottery, it does give me a "chance" at mining a block, just like buying a lottery ticket gives you a chance at winning, and there have been cases of people solo mining blocks with these little machines.>>62532849It might be a "scam", but you are also saying playing the lottery is a scam. Its not a form of investment but instead its a game. and its still cheaper than buying 10 powerball tickets.
>>62532573>mining>crypto
>>62532936>sell my crypto on MEXC into PESO and buy SPCX
>>62532573i only mine monero
>>62533015Do you have any dedicated rigs? I also pool mine monero on my main pc when I leave my home.
