https://www.tweaktown.com/news/112882/memory-supply-could-plummet-70-percent-as-ais-endless-hunger-devours-global-production/index.html

>consumer firms have already 'locked in' contracts to buy ram for 5 years at current prices to avoid buying even higher

>Apacer means it has bought and held $383 million worth of DRAM and NAND inventory now so it has secured parts to keep making products rather than risk being starved for supply or paying even higher prices later. The article says other firms are locking multi-year supply deals and that this shifts more of available memory toward data centers and long-term contracts, leaving consumer retail memory with tighter availability, higher prices, and fewer product options. (Related: "Micron has signed agreements locking in record-high memory prices with major customers through 2030" and "HDD and SSD shortages have now led customers to sign 5-year supply agreements".)

Basically even if AI demand 'slows', consumer-oriented firms are buying up as much ram as possible.

Chinese chips are shit+china is using their chips for their domestic industry, Apple is shit out of luck and retarded.

https://gagadget.com/en/720208-meet-threehalves-a-2-meter-centaur-robot-built-for-disaster-zones/

Robot boom will follow the AI boom as well, logically, and suck up more memory.

The MASSIVE amount of fud against memory companies the last 9 months has ruined this board- all the people who would have made comfy gains, instead you have that one faggot shilling VTI and crying that people "should never ever invest in leveraged tech ever".

See this doesn't make sense. If memory and storage is thos highly spught after, then why would these memory/storage companies even lock in 5 year contracts and trap capacity to a value now rather than idk waiting 6 months and being the only supplier left and letting all the companies bid up to multiples far higher than they paid today?

This is what makes no sense to me. For something so sought after just don't hand out the entire supply asap and simply charge more and more as they quickly get forced into paying up a higher premium

It just doesnt make sense

Because asking people to pay 5000 dollars in 2030 for something that was 500 bucks in 2026 is unreasonable and companies locking in now protects them from supply shortages while also protects Micron from the possibility of oversupply and thus a decline in demand/price decreases.

Niggas are protecting their asses on both sides.

Personally I think her trade was a red herring to trick retail into buying in. By the time retail knew about it the narket was just nearing the peak. Imagine that, copying her INTC trade right on the day that news came out. ~$130 was the price of INTC. Look at it today ~$80. And iirc some anon on here mentioned that she isnt even all that invested in stocks anymore. I wouldnt be surprised if she got mad that retail was pointing out her success amd did this out of spite so that retail would copy it and lose money. What's a $5m bet to dab on retail? Especiallywhen her networth is well over $200m?
She could get far otm sell puts on a stable stock with $200m and make back that $5m easily.

Sometimes I think to myself that America is a scam set up by europeans

Their food and quality of life is way higher, they work less, America is the stormiest and most climatologically hostile place on earth, they work less, theres less crime, we pay for all the drug discovery, we fight all the wars.

Supposedly we are richer in numbers, but unless you have a n extreme bordering on sexual fetish for (owning things which are 10-15% bigger) then the current deal seems kind of shitty.

It's because of the cyclical fears.

In particular you see a lot of dumbfucks and faggots and jeets on twitter posting "oh earnings peak before he end of the cycle and then revenues go down 80%".

By locking in 2026 pricing with these customers for 3-5 years Micron is insulating itself against the cycle, the earnings will continue to rise or at least the decline will be like they made 400 billion at peak and are now making 300 billion in 2029 after 'the big end of cycle dump'.

This is what midwits who spam CYCLE CYCLE CYCLE don't seem to understand at all. Cisco and Dotcom's cycle end saw Cisco getting billions in losses, this is also what happened in previous memory cycles- so by locking in prices they are ensuring continuous cash flow. There is no cycle, as a result, but retards will keep spamming it because it makes their money brain happy to think "I'm smart, I can repeat this shit, earnings? Naw dawg I'm all about the TA!".

Right right.

I mean Burgos Spain has a GDP per capita 1/3rd of Atlanta... But Atlanta is a crime riddled shithole with homeless people walking around covered in their own feces, project housing everywhere, food straight out the corn syrup dispencer.
When I lived there like 7 of the (white collar) people I knew that lived in gated communities got robbed shot stabbed in the neck and one was even kidnapped and held for ransom.

what actually made my life worse was 1) failing to dump the celestial insidiants kill team for 130 dollars on ebay in february 2) having to use my amazon gift card on tires for my car instead of the Armageddon box and then ditching most of the smegmarines except the landspeeder and 3) they finally released Exodites after 35 years OOP but the kill team box is borderline a scam. No plastic terrain, no opposing kill team, orks are just beast snaggas no one wanted and not even the shame to offer a discount. Just exodites.

Losing a few thousand sucks but at a certain point you're waiting for the market to dump the rest to zero so you can reload for the rebound.
>>
>>62540509
That's implying that the orders will and can be filled. If a big player defaults or something massive changes, the promised revenue may not come into fruition.

I myself am bullish and think that this will come to pass and as much Memory/KOSPI is pretty undervalued now, but I understand the concerns, including the China scare, but even if we're reaching the top of the shortage, the demand isn't easing hard anytime soon and supply is so far behind it'll take year(s) to manifest. The thing here is that if revenue will actually come, then market sentiment shouldn't really matter all that much as memory makers can and are likely to issue dividends/massive stock buybacks, which would boost the value of the held stocks regardless of what the market thinks.

Dunno, with the forced deleveraging and so much margin debt, it makes sense for large players to just keep dumping temporarily to push the prices down and then just SLURP after everyone that could has been liquidated.

It's a cope explanation, but it'd make sense to me. Either way it doesn't matter all that much as I do think the fundamentals in my bags are strong enough to carry them into the future.

I dont get what caused the pump in April either. Hold your horses perma mumus. Semis and memory dumped in late March after Microns great earnings and then all of a sudden all that stuff pumped without reason starting April. Anyone remember Januarys earnings? All those stocks seemingly crabbed. I was stuck just holding stuff crabbing and then when the big day arrived, MU earnings, so much of my holdings tanked that week. I still don't have an explanation for that

Im gonna stick woth my reasoning that the stock market is nothing more than a ponzi scheme of trying to sell the bag to someone else for more. Its not like shares really mean much.

Well, I did go in during one of the first dips and when it started to go into seller's territory. Pretty much the worst timing, but it seemed fine at the time. It didn't pan out well so far, but I remain hopeful. The evaluations and projections still allowed for higher stock prices and if revenue will hold it's likely that companies may issue stock buybacks/dividends that should be a failsafe mechanism in case market sentiment doesn't change.

>>
>>62540557
I can see funds trying to get gains out of retail, would make sense if they see it as a way of gaining easy cash. I'm not one to be big on muh evil corporations and market manipulation, but if you're in a sector with heavy leverage and can't withstand heavy drawdowns, then you only have yourself to blame if you get liquidated by bigger players. That's where no crying in the casino comes.

That's part of the game and while holding heavy bags isn't nice, the general thought is that if you can withstand the volatility, then markets will eventually adjust to around where they should be, though it's not always the case and may take way longer than it should.

There"s a reason why just holding large indexes is the strategy for many.
>>

I think there was a report that showed consumers are extremely tolerant in terms of pricing as long as they get maximal intelligence/capability. So the competition equation is more about RND rather than a race towards the bottom. Obviously both are true to a degree, but I simply don't buy the narrative that these companies are taking genuine losses if you ignore the capex factor.
>>

He's probably talking about the 200 day MA. Though if it trends below the MA (currently all AI hardware stocks are still above the 200 day) then it will probably be entering bear territory. But the 200 day is a 'bounce' zone, where it can bounce off that and run back up. Nvidia did that literally 2 years ago when it dropped to 90 in a month and then ran to 130 in 2 weeks.

So micron to 700, then back to 1100 in 2 weeks, maybe or maybe not IDK. AMD, AMAT, Marvell etc. SNDK would probably run to 1900 because reasons.

Flagship models currently cost $20 per million tokens. Developers are currently using hundred of millions of tokens per month. That's 2500 dollars. Even the companies know to buy the dip. It's pretty neat as it kind of bypasses the market sentiment altogether, so it doesn't matter what anyone thinks and whether company is still overvalued as long as the profits keep on coming. For these sorts of companies there really isn't much to spend their profits on anyway.
>>

Bull trap would require them to rebounce to at least like 50% of the difference from the ATH's.

Also pretty much nothing has changed about semis trade these last 2 months. Apart from massive force liquidations it's just some weak Chinese FUD (another Deepseek moment) with capex only increasing and pretty much everyone hitting or beating their own targets.

Anyway, this whole thing is just a big buying opportunity.

Theres other stuff too but i dont wanna jinx it or offend higher powers
>>
