>>62540942the problem with pokemon is that no one actually plays it. the cards are all priced on hype and people are always hyped over the new thing. vintage magic and yugioh have large player bases that enjoy the old formats. the competitive staples for those old formats hold their value a lot better.

There are only around 2000 known to currently exist 2000 x $5000 (average price now psa 8-10) gives $10000000 which is like buying bitcoin at $0.50. Buying Masaki Alakazam right now (in value terms) is equal to getting a $0.50 bitcoin
