ITT settled science:
Housing is unaffordable.
>>
Get your money up, zoomzoom.
>>
500k is life changing money
>>
Only people with a lot of money deserve shelter
>>
OP sucks cocks
>>
Its a supply/regulation issue. Some states like Massachusetts have huge problems with Democrats throwing fits over housing complex permits that build up cheap decent apartments that take pressure off the housing market in favor of "affordable housing" scams that is basically just money laundering and a way for (((slumlords))) to make bank. Other states like Florida/Texas are likely going to have cheap housing for quite a while due to overbuilding.

the average house price in florida is $400k. not unbelievable money compared to some places but not affordable for your typical pedo, meth head floridian.

yeah but why is it unaffordable. ask yourself that.
>>
I could buy a house but not the house I want that's the issue, the house I want would be a lot more affordable with a wife making the same amount as me. I think that's also the issue, houses are made for and priced for families not individuals

The meth head areas have housing for 200-250k, which for people making 30-40k a year at Waffle House is doable for a 20 year loan.

the people who build houses are paid very well, being unionized, the unions artificially restrict supply of skilled labor to jack up the price of labor, which in turn raises the cost of construction and almost all construction is for 3-4 bedrooms in the suburbs because those sell despite being unaffordable to 80% of america. because wealth disparity is so huge there are plenty of buyers with two incomes making over 100k a year and that's just too bad if you're not normal and live alone and only make like 40k a year and all your take-home goes to rent. that's just too bad. history won't remember you and no one gives a shit/
