If you're a yolo cryptpoor / equity research guy / sector investor / Stephen Penman residual income goycattle / set-and-forgeter / DFAg / long-shorter / bondcattle / goldbug / Lego technic / momentoid / 5-factoid / 60-40toid / exotic graph brainiac, guess what, YOUR'E a FAGGOT.
Your greatest losses for terminal wealth are NOT idiosyncratic shocks or factor headwinds. Unless you live in Uzbekistan or some other Arab tax haven your biggest losses come from taxes and volatility drag by a mile. Don't be Markowitz business school goycattle. Don't play the mean-variance game.
1. Watch and read everything Mark Spitznagel ever make on tail risk hedging. Austrian economists are stupid policy makers but they rule for investing.
2. Make a legit optimiser in SciPy differential evolution. If mental invalid, skip.
3. Combine 95+% equity world equities ETF (NOT tilted) with some liquidity and 0.5%-1.5% DEEP OTM puts on S&P 500 (SPX or XSP for brokies). The point is when the shit hits the fan (and rho->1) you keep your puts that went to the moon until the rebalance day, rebalance back to same ratio as before and repeat every time.
3a Some can do it with 6 month rebalancing having laddered staggered tranches of 1 year puts. Others have big brains and can do way shorter ones. But don't bother with LEAPS. Use the optimiser. Know your tax code. If you can offset your ETF profits with derivatives losses kiss your finance minister on the dick as a thank you. I can only offset other derivatives because idk.
4. Money

I'm telling you this because I love you like a samurai loves his ronins. But can't take you to the bath house. I hope this is a good enough alternative.

Devil's in the details, though. Like, *how* out of the money are you buying S&P puts? As low as you can go? As low as it seems like it might actually hit in a downturn? It's all the little decisions that go into actually implementing this that make a huge difference in outcome. But generally yes, if you have money to grow, this has an excellent risk/reward profile. If you're already a poorfag, you kind of have to gamble your way to that first 100k or so to get the returns really compounding. But once you're there and if you can keep going for another 30 years, you'll have several million by the time you're 60. There's not many in this place with that kind of time horizon.

Not reading until you fully dox yourself and show us your portfolio matching the documents you used to dox yourself, show face (must be white with blue eyes and blonde hair, rated 10/10 and literal God tier chad in looks besides that)...

Your portfolio diffs must be +100%/month minimum for me to even consider following your strategy.
