>>62544435>>62544418I always wanted to do the scam where you have someone on one side of the bank selling rune ingots(or anything) for 1k, and then at the other side of the bank you have someone saying they'll buy rune ingots for 2k. Some noob comes along and thinks he is going to double his money and buy as much of this upcharged item as possible, then when they try and sell it in the other side the dude just says "sorry I don't need anymore". Noon is then left holding the bag. I feel like playing RuneScape young set you up for success in the crypto space

RuneScape lowkey gave me my first lessons on finance. That game ruined my high school years but at least it led to me getting rich in my mid 30s.
When I was a kid I begged my mother to buy me a runescape merchanting/merching guide book. She finally did and I printed out the whole thing on my family's shitty laptop. Then the next day Jagex implemented the free trade removal update which made basically all the guide useless lol

I was known to double money in my day, but my favorite scam was the "house" one...You would bring someone to your house and tell them you knew a dupe glitch. You would demonstrate dropping an expensive item, doing some dance emotes, and then picking your item up and telling them it had been duplicated. They would see that the item didn't appear to them since you only had it dropped for a few seconds, so there is no risk of anyone else picking it up. Then you would have them try. You'd let them go through the process once, they would see that their item hadn't been duped. Then you would say, "Are you sure you dropped the <expensive item>? Remember it has to be value over 3m." (This is in case they try to test it with a cheap item first). Whether they say yes or no, you have them try again. This time, when they drop the item and start dancing, you kick them from your house, wait a minute for the item to appear, and it's yours.I have a feeling that LLMs will ruin scamming for the younger generation though. Too easy to detect and punish it at scale.
