i thought working was good for u wtf
>>
>>62552232
Just retire at 85 then. Ez
>>
>>62552232
>Poor health forces people to work until later in life to pay for healthcare
This doesn't mean retiring later kills you earlier.
>>
if you retire early you probably have money
poor people have to work later
poor people also die earlier, its that simple
>>
>>62552232
in addition to killing you, working too much literally makes you gay.

Also, people that didn't save can't retire. These same people are also prone to risk taking behavior. So it's probably gamblers, smokers, drinkers, etc.
>>
>>62552232
If that was true in general (which it clearly isn't, likely a small population group) there would be no problems with retired people flooding the system.
>>
>>62552318
Oh of course, it could just be burger statistics as >>62552237 said, kinda overlooked that

My grandpa is 85 and still works part-time at Lowe's for fun.
>>
>>62552232

German government does want us to work to 70. What does this means? Could it be that the government doesnt want the bets for us?
>>
>>62552263
/our/ guy
>>
>>62552338
Wow, he is living the dream then. Imagine fardin and shiddin all over a store and getting paid for it.
>>
I retired (was fired for the 12th and last time because of my mental illness) at 35. When do I get to die?
>>
>>62552343
Working longer and dying earlier, the perfect solution to the broken social security problem
>>
>>62552338
He's very based.
>>
>>62552232
But does this shit take into account the fact that if youre rich enough to retire at 55 it means you have better education, diet, job?
Imagine working dogshit jobs for dogshit pay till 65, breathing in sawdust or asbestos.
>>
>>62552446
Have you worked dogshit jobs for dogshit pay? They're full of subhumans that chainsmoke 2 packs of cigs and drink vodka daily.
>>
>>62552463
Poor people are dumb , dumb people die early
>>
>>62552487
And asbestos did nothing wrong.

Actuary here, but not a pension actuary. You can look at life annuitant tables starting at retirement age to estimate the expected duration of survival. I’m fairly sure it is much longer than 18 months at age 65.

I think this is based on the alleged Boeing employee study. It could have involved a small or highly selected sample and may only have reflected that particular group, but I don’t believe it was peer reviewed. I also don’t think the result can reasonably be extended to the general population. Even anecdotally, many people retire at 65 and live well into their 80s while collecting pensions and government retirement benefits.
>>
>>62552232
I wonder if there's any data on NEET lifespans
>>
>>62552232
That table is obviously fake, average retirement age is 62 in USA, average lifespan is 80
>>
>>62552232

What it doesn't show is retiring too early can shorten your lifespan.

Stopped waging on my own business at age 39 with decent bank invested. All my demons caught up with me.

>Entire days blown sleeping in until 1 pm and gooning.
>Type II diabetes/metabolic syndrome, have to gobble pills like an old man to control it.
>Never learned to drive or get a license.
>Live in an upscale neighborhood of education professional normies with families. Can't relate to them as a fat loser who gave up on 3D women.

Not sure I will make it to 60-70 at the rate I'm going. Which is scary as fuck because I waste at least an hour per day thinking about death and how it's all a big nothing.
>>
Does he work? He is always up her ass 24/7 lmao
>>
>>62552322
What’s fun about being disrespected as a wage slave?
>>
>>62552232
Over 50% of wage slave haver suffer from insufferable unironically mentally retard syndrome and they think it is fine.
>>
>>62553396
You crashing out retired isn't because you stopped working, it's because you're mentally ill and live a self-destructive lifestyle.

You can just fix your life. It's EASY. You have all the time in the world.
>>
>>62552232
my goal is to retire by 55 and still look like I'm in my 30s so I can mog all the other 55 year olds into oblivion in every way possible that my very existence will invoke existential seethe on a biblical scale. So far so good
>>
>>62553982
Gives old people something to do, a place to be, and more importantly puts them around people. Loafing around the house is depressing and social isolation isn't healthy.
>>
>>62553396
you're just a fucking retard, anon, and I say that with love. Do well off people like you require life consultants to not fuck everything up?

Skill issue.
>>
>>62552232
huh i'm about to retire at 41 years old. how come the chart doesn't show that?
>>
>>62552343
it's because you didn't have enough kids and they still need tax slaves and services
