And its the perfect Psychology for Bagholders.
>muh connections
>muh insiders know
>muh big reveal soon look at these poeple meeting
>shift of the burden of proof "proof my crazy theory wrong"
etc
This is very interesting and highly relevant to this place here. People are seeing way too many pattern where none are. This "pattern recognition is peak intelligence" narrative has gone way too far. Now people are seeing behinf every bullshit random thing a pattern and shit on people who say its random. And the endless cry of the schizo: "Prove me wrong", as if he doesnt have the burden of proof.
Apophenia was described as the start to schizophrenia and its so fitting. You affected guys need to break out. I know many here dont have it since markets demand rationality, but in other boards its way worse.
>jew science
The guy who invented this concept was in the nsdap.

Share price does what share price does, with the whole iran war thing people dont understand its the same as someone shorting something that will go up in value, i.e failure to deliver cost to borrow doesnt add up till later and then the squeeze
In 6 to 12 months we will be dealing with the real cost of oil

Conspiracism is baked into the trading game.
>The stock market must incorporate all available information
>Therefore you have no edge
>If you don’t have an edge, there’s no point to playing the game
>The only people who play the game are the people delusional enough to think they have an edge
>Delusional people tend to believe in conspiracy theories
Even if this thread was a complete success, the people who you convinced would simply stop trading and leave this board, and it would be 100% delulu conspiratards again.

Pattern recognition activates dopamine pathways. On the extreme end is literal addict behavior, because it's physically the same. Imagine the RUSH when there's confirmation ("I was right!"). Which can be easily simulated by posts, tweets, news, rumors, or even their own imagination. Conforming to reality is not a requirement to get the high.

Most incurious people settle on whichever narrative or whatever confirms their bias the best. They're good after 1 hit. Then they steer the convo the way they want in order to satisfy their other desires (control, popularity, recognition, acceptance, ...). See >>62554082 To them, they have it all figured out because things returned to normal for them so quickly. Some stories are really good. A lot of people really believe the Leopold story.

Some people get hooked and they can't regulate, it's a real clinical problem. Delusions, disordered thinking, Mania, and stunted inhibitory control follow. Gambling addiction, substance addiction, etc it's all the same. You could call it info addiction or something but it all boils down to the reward system in the brain is physically broken in some people.

Yes. And the thing is there are real conspiracies, like Covid or control of us government. But this all started with Covid, too many average iq people thought they are geniuses for figuring out that we got lied on. The they started to self assure each other into more and more crazy stuff. Coin shillers used that climate to shill their coins. But yes to trade you need a bit delulu, i think thats even ok. It just got way out of balance, and the extent to which they stay in their bubble got crazy. There are still people believing the squeeze will happen or that xrp wil suddenly x100.
And its a broader internet thing nowadays, i saw 5 different conspiracies regarding the world cup
>they rig for argentine
>they rig for england
>they rig for france
>they rig against germany
>they rig against africa
>they rig against europeans
When its really if you check their reasoning very well explained by random referee errors.

> average iq people thought they are geniuses for figuring out that we got lied on
> world cup "conspiracies" (they're all "it's rigged")
This is all completely normal human behavior. They settled on a story that confirms their bias ("it's rigged for X") then stop accepting new information or asking any further questions. The people you described are normies and they are exhibiting baseline human behavior not since 6 years ago but for the last 13,000 years. They don't have broken brains. You can predict them like the tides. If someone is saying "I have the answer, and it's this" and it's wrong, or even if it's right, they're just normal people. They don't really care about [issue], they just want social validation.

Apophenia doesn't apply to normies and is something very different from that. Maybe what you really meant to criticize is that normies tend to settle on a narrative that confirms their bias?

Addicts don't care about social validation or acceptance. They want the fix. They're stuck in the reward cycle. They'll dip occasionally into the picture to say "This is why THAT happened" just to get a little attention then quickly pivot back to the pattern discovery/novel experience phase. Because they're addicted. Even though they have broken brains, you can still predict their behavior. It's just not as regular as tides.

Careful about the IQ stuff. Maybe forget it for now to really chunk down the concepts, test your understanding along the way, then put the whole picture back together later. I'll just tell you that addiction and mental illness doesn't care what your IQ is. You may be ironically looking for a pattern that doesn't exist. You're safe though, you're curious but your brain isn't broken.
>>
>>62555085
>conspiracy theories I don't believe in are mental illness but the ones I believe in are all true
You're a fucking retard

>>
>>62556334
Look there are conspiracies obviously true, Israeli Influence to the usa government, the vax beeing forced despite not good for you...
And obvious wrong conspiracies, flat earth, All banks adopting xrp in two more weeks with the price will flip to 100 dollar...
And the mass inbetween where we dont knows. Im not claiming i know which are true but its about going too far and not believing the obvious wrong or just suspect a conspiracy behinf everything.
In the OP i called it Apophenia >>62555445
he called it addiction.
>>62555445
True. But something has intensified the last 6 years. And yes it might not be an iq thing mostly, but to recognize what theories are fitting and what are not is intelligence.
