I have savings. Enough for 3 years. I will change my life in that time or simply kill myself
>>62556776
My mom is dead and that would be pretty rude, so please don't
>>
>>62556786
Change your life how

3 years goes very fast. You will spend all this time coonsuming. What is your plan exactly?
>>
>>62556763
If you're a firstie, just leech off welfare.

Flip hundreds on polymarket betting on boring sports

so you're saying that there's a chance
>>
>>62556758
I should have never started. I have too much to quit now and also not enough at the same time, right in the middle.
>>
>>62556903
About a 100% chance you spend the three years just gaming and fapping then go back to work, so don't
>>

I'm planning on still having a routine that includes house chores, working out and daily reading. On top of that, because I'll have free time without work, I want to try different professions and see what sticks. I'm planning to try CNC machine operator or welding.
If I stay at my current shit job I'll inevitably go insane at some point
>>
>>62556758
I just left my job with nothing lined up and I don't even have that much savings
>>
>>62557063
Are you doing even a little of that profession stuff in the free time you do have?
>>
>>62557072
no, I'm too tired for that after work
>>
>>62557063
Do not weld. CNC operator is prime AI automation territory. Let AI think this through for you, and do exactly what it suggests. These machines are way more intelligent than people now. They get shit hilariously wrong, but less often than people. Don't listen to humans anymore. Listen to machines. Become a tool for the machines.

I have a regular task for AI to dig into this week's political promises and experts opinions on economic outcomes of AI. I run dozens of agents on this, with and without harnesses. This rejects most of the public drivel, including the idea of a singularity (it's a rapid growth of intelligence, planning speed, and speed of theoretical discovery) with extreme risks of sudden breakdown and planet destroying catastrophe. For the income situation, it mostly predicts hypercompetition, displacement, attrition, compression of wealth and agency to very few people, communism/socialism/capitalism/ideologies in general only exacerbating the situation.
>>
>>62557074
Well my advice then is go for it but three years and possibly blowing through your savings is too much, you can tell if it's for you in a few months at most
>>
>>62557112
Yeah, I've already been thinking about it. I'm giving myself 6 months top. I've been a NEET, so I know the good time can quickly turn into something horrible. If it won't work out then it won't, but at least I'll reset.

I quit my job once without letting my girlfriend know in advance and she got so pissed off when she found out I'd been staying home playing video games all day that she dumped me. Had to move back in with my parents.

Thinking about doing the same but just contracting projects. Full time work isn’t natural. It’s best to work for a few months and then leisure a few months.
