There is a discord I've been actively posting in almost daily for the last 8 years and I stopped posting in it a month ago and absolutely nobody noticed or even cared. That was the only social outlet I had.

I would still give him the benefit of doubt that it's a discord that's not fallen to meme cancer..I think being out of the social loop of high school/ structured social gathering can lead to an "out of water" feeling when crossing social events that haven't happened in years. Like being away from your circle for an extended period of time. OP, go do something. Have a life for a bit. Then come back randomly in vc and when people say "hey it's been a while" you have something to say. And stop being a spaz about lukewarm friendship
