Here's everything I own. What should I do at this point? I'm 29, not married, no kids.
>188k at 29so ure basically an average single guy whose a little bit autistic about saving money while not really earning much moneythats bout it, not sure what ure asking here? theres millions of guys like u
your portfolio is very boring
>>62560942Good job OP.Clear your credit card debt and cut your usage though. Unless that's a one-off thing where you spend over $3k a month.
It's cool that you keep reposting this thread.
>>62560955>>62560962Just trying to increase it bit by bit through sheer will power. Up $42k in 6 months>>62560972Thanks, yea I usually spend a bit less. Did a bit of summer traveling
>>62560942You haven't told us anything about yourself. What do you want? What do you do for work?Your balance sheet is ok, not great not terrible. Too many charge cards.
>>62561025I want to retire early, probably at SEA. I work in tech.>Too many charge cards.Already collected the bonus from the Flex card, so will be cutting that one out at least.
>>62560942liquidate all and go all in spcx short etf
>>62561025>retire earlyGreat, a direction. Now you need to figure out how much money you'll need for retirement annually, then divide that by .035 as a safe withdrawal rate, and end up with a target amount. From there you need to figure out how to hit your target amount, which probably looks like saving and investing aggressively.>SEAMeans you probably can get by on a lot less, like 2k a month or something, which would be 24k a year post tax or 30k a year pre tax, so you need something along the lines of 860k to generate this. now you need to get your 180k to 860k, which, based on historical returns would be ~16 years or so.If you save aggressively that number goes down.
>>62560942this was posted weeks ago. stop larping
>>62561046I was thinking to buy a bit if it gets down around $70-80 and then letting it ride. Half discount from IPO sounds decent to me.>>62561075yeah 3.5% to spend a year is my target. > $180k to $860ksounds about right. I do add at least $40k a year to this though, so I'm not just letting the current folio ride. I do work full time and live in a LCOL part of USA.>>62561102The numbers are different. I posted that a month ago
>>62560942>I'm 29, not married, no kids. What race are you?
>>62561186white, why?
>>62560942>low 6 figure hell>almost 30, not married
>>62561019that's an impressive amount of money to save in 6months. good job!you don't need any further guidance you're doing it right.
>>62560942If you're fine with mediocrity, keep doing whatever you've been doing. If you want to retire early, you're going to have to start taking on risk. High returns doesn't come without it attached.
>>62561516This, go to the casino and put it all on red. You have to MAKE IT (undefined)
>>62561489Hopefully mid 6 fig hell by early 30s>>62561498thanks!>>62561516a 100% equity portfolio is already aggressive by any rational measure. Open to any suggestions though. I'll probably buy BTC and SpaceX 5% each once they get low enough or something else that comes along at an attractive price.
>>62560942> international stocks
>>62560942Just invest it in a boglehead split.
>>62561572>100% equity portfolio is already aggressive by any rational measureIf you think the SP500 and world index are aggressive plays then best of luck to you, buddy
>>62561818I don't know which country will outperform over the next decade. From 2000 to 2009, the U.S. market delivered a negative total return, while international stocks were positive. So, I just own them all. 60% for U.S.>>62561909Yeah, that's solid, but I like just managing one fund. No rebalancing, just autopilot. Hopefully will get to your level one day.>>62561922I could still lose 40-50% in a bad year like 2008. In 2020 down 34% in a few weeks.
>>62561980If once-in-a-decade 30% downside scares you, you're never going to be able to get high enough returns to retire early. Nothing wrong with that, it isn't for everyone. You can still retire comfortably when you're 70
>>62562060It doesn't scare me. That's the risk I'm accepting, which is why I'm 100% equities. I can just hold and dca through it. No need for bonds, gold or cash.So far I'm on track to retire by 39 at the latest, not 70.
