During the pandemic, people were up in arms about money being phased out and everything was going to be digital

During the housing collapse, mortgage backed securities were rated triple A prior to their collapse into worthlessness. No one went to jail. No refunds given.

So then AAA were in reality BBB or even B rated. That type of market manipulation would lead to arrest and tribunals (it didn't)

Jail is only for poor people and workers who don't obey.

How is this a conspiracy theory? Central banks explicitly state that they want it for "practical reasons", and most major political parties want it to combat money laundering and combat [insert local boogeyman].

The only reason they don't pass legislation for it is because boomers sperg out any time it's mentioned, so they'd rather just phase it out gradually and wait for boomers to die off so that it can be implemented without pushback

Also, a bunch of countries keep reducing the amount you can spend with cash without AML/KYC procedures, and how much you can travel across borders with.

When you combine that with inflation chipping away at the currencies purchasing power, soon enough you'd reach the allowed limit if you went out to buy a used bicycle with cash.

They're just boiling the frog by making cash less and less practical to use so that people voluntarily move onto digital options. Just basic social engineering

The only thing I didn't get into were real motivations for wanting to get rid of it. But that's pure speculation and I prefer to stick to facts

I remember when I was in school, one of my teachers told us that wall street isn't really run by brokers or physical cash. It's run by computers. If I had to speculate, I believe that because of different algorithms being used. Money was like a book compared to a kindle. So a lot of physical transactions had to be lowered to get a true grasp of what the market is.
