70% of your AI revenue comes from OpenAI, which has never made profits. And entire stock market depends on you. Is this a good business model?

every middle manager type in tech has made using ai part of the KPI. it doesnt matter if its useful or not, companies are going to spending lots of money on it

I saw a number that said managers were using it 70 minutes per week. It's fucking nothing. And Chinese models are undercutting tokens prices for coding by like 90%. Shorting or buying puts on American AI giants will be so free.

every middle manager in tech is using it because the C-suite bought into the false promise of 10000000x productivity, hence the multimillion dollar contracts, shoving AI into every KPI, and layoffs. if they don't go along with it, they're blamed for the inevitable failures of the initiative.

but that productivity has been nearly non-existent, and even moreso when you consider the price, which is why you're seeing companies "refocus" on more intelligent use and in some cases even restricting token usage

my company has been forcing us to do 2-3 hours per week of AI "training" calls for months and has recently started saying things like "more AI usage is not necessarily better". the executives are panicking and throwing spaghetti at the walls

My work is basically just giving a coding agent prompts and reviewing the outcome.
When buying an apartment, I ask an agent to find sales in the same building to see what the market is like. It's much faster than searching myself.
When playing old video games, I ask an agent what the items do rather than trial and error.
I used to use grok to undress my coworkers, but Elon is a killjoy.

Nobody pays for it. And the few corpo clowns that got scammed into long term subscription scams are not nearly enough to generate a positive cashflow

What's the point of playing video games and ask advices from AI? I mean this literally kills significant part of gaming experience.
