Something no one bothers telling you in a job search is just how humiliating it is. It's one thing to be ghosted even so late in the hiring process that they go "Yeah we will TOTALLY hire you wait for an email later" and they'll just never send it. It's another to have people take the time out to be assholes to you. I called to follow up with a manager after applying to see if they had received it and whoever picked up just hung up after I explained what was up. Then 2 weeks earlier I had a guy reply asking if I could travel as the job needed, and he just replied in all caps extremely angry after I said I could try. Professionalism my ass. I'd say the economy can't crash soon enough but I know this is actually a sign that the economy is healthy when it comes to all that matters, profit extraction. Why are they like this?
