There used to be town banks which handled the funds and land deeds of locals in New England from the 1700s to mid/late 1800s depending on the area. They were run by locals and used by locals in the Town square/lane not far from the General Store. We need local economies again.

As a burger who grew up back when US/Canada were still like brothers, Canada/Canadians have always had a place in my heart.
Growing up, I remember half the Channels we received on TV and Radio were Canadian channels. So we grew up on Canadian TV shows and Canadian music almost as much as American TV and Radio.
But we were especially drawn to the Canadian stuff. I remember going to Canada as a child every was so beautiful and people there were great.
And I remember seeing Canadians visiting our towns in the US and they were always, happy, friendly, cheerful never nasty.
Different times back then, before flat screens, before satellite tv, before the Internet and cell phones

I feel like bigger players are restructuring right now. Eventhough the jew war with Iran has had a bad effect on the economy and pmg prices, it seems that investors are running out of alternatives. Stocks are massively bloated. And they need to put those ill gotten gains somewhere, before they inevitably collapse.

no, canadian. and i only started doing it because i was buying and selling scrap gold as an investment and realized seeing nice pieces how cool fine jewelry can be.

the jeweler i go to is iranian and always has good ideas.

like i'll bring in an 18k fish pendant with gem set eyes and i say take the eye stones out and put in diamonds and she says "we can add some enamel scales too".

i wear hella flashy jewelry now and it's extremely uncommon/ eccentric where i am.

agree. if you focus on high quality pieces it really does make you feel like a rich guy. i used to buy heavy 18k brooches when i could find them for around spot and i'd pay 60 bucks to turn them into pendants. one is giant flames in 18k with diamonds and the finish is very similar to buccelati rigato finish and MAN it looks sick but its extremely dangerous to wear because man scumbags will stop talking and just stare at you when they see it.

We are up 7,5% this week as of right now.

My guess is the big players are restructuring because the yen carry trade is crumbling. Last week's intervention was good enough for about 10 days. It's inevitable for Japan to raise rates. The entire AI cluster will get juicily reddish if that happens.

Can lumber be a precious metal?

I have a lot of wooded area in my back yard and can stack logs if I need to.
I just don't think it can work as coins or jewelry.
Who is ever going to pay for wood if you can grow it.

Idk I just can't afford metallic precious metals anymore.
I wish I had a silver mine I could just get metal from the ground

Timber can be a highly valuable asset.
But is a dynamic reactive and volatile market.
Depending on demand for specific type of wood. Sometimes pulp wood is in high demand
Sometimes hemfir or cedar is high.
Of course needs to be balanced with your timberland management. Due to environmental conditions in your forest biome there may be some specific species or specific stands that may be advantateous to harvest and replanting for the benefit of the forest health or speculations of future demand of different species

I've been thinking about buying liquid mercury.
Might be valuable once they admit it is used in alien ant gravity power generation.

It's really a special metal if you think about it. Liquid at room temp. Super underrated.

It's not a coincidence about all the toxicity fear mongering.

I remember seeing schizo tartarian youtubers saying all the old buildings had antennas with spheres that contained mercury. The electric charge in the air would cause the liquid mercury to spin or something like that. Also something about energy called "aether"

I wouldn't be surprised is a bunch of stuff commonly available today is restricted in our life times.
Magnesium is crazy flammable and gets worse when water is added.
Stuff like that...

Would love any other ideas of things to buy before ban.

We could guess though Trump wants a weaker usd for trade (gold must rise then) but before the midterms he'll need a stronger (looking) dollar to make it appear the economy is doing well. Ie they must try to have a semi strong dollar in a few montgs meaning gold and silver could be pushed down again.
Add to that tge Iran/oil/ Brics/China stuff and it's really just guessing how it's going to play out in the short term.
Longer term silver and gold always go up.
And will keep their increase in buying power.

Depends on where you plan to detect. It's a fun hobby either way. Other than the parks around my area I like to try my luck on the beaches of Florida when I visit yearly. Best I've found is a couple of 14k rings. Different machines are suited for different terrain (land, salt water, freshwater) so you'll need to know where you want to detect without buying an expensive machine that can do it all.

I'm pretty sure there aren't as many as you think. Most are just concern trolling meaning they believe in stacking but make people think there is some hidden agenda to create a use case to buy more silver and gold if you're new. There is one peruvian faggot who is an attention whore but the others are not like him, just pretend to be faggots. There is also the odd boomer who swears by goldbacks or silver ETFs/miners but it's uncommon. Usually just those listed above.
