I know this is a perennial topic on this board and everyone always responds with shit like there is always another bubble around the corner. But seriously:

>missed crypto (multiple times)
>missed PMs
>caught some of the semis boom but gave it all back during the leopold rinse
>space is a perpetual meme
>maybe some other things are promising going forward but not 10x in a month promising

I have been paying attention to markets and taking risks on markets for 10 years now and am somehow still poor. I always get into things too late and hold onto them too long after the top is in. It feels like we are running out of hot sectors that anyone can even believe in (prerequisite for pumping bigly) and without a new hot sexy thing to pump 10-100x idk what there even is to invest in? Coke and walmart? Why even invest at all if that's all there is to invest in now? I'm just tired watching hot sectors come and go and being too retarded to get into them early. Ready to admit defeat and full port VOO with my meagre savings and accept my underclass status.

Not even asking for 100x gems or whatever. I just feel like it's over and that's that. What, micron's going to go to 3000 from here? Intel to 500? Fuck off. It's all just fucking over. Who even cares anymore.

>several of the richest men in the world are competing for economic control of space. it's a meme though.
>all huge innovations are over. history is over. there will never again be an opportunity to make a ton of money on a new industry and/or technology. this is not at all me being incapable of seeing these opportunities.

Invest in random shit like amazon and hope for the best, anon. Literally what millions of people do in your exact situation.

OP is pure niggerbrained.

There is no getting through to these kinds of people. Clueless gamblers to the core. The idea of investing in something for the long term isn't even something they understand. All that matters is "what can I have immediately". Degenerates who deserve death.

Not very well apparently

You're just in time for mass starvation and balkanization of the Western world, anon. Neo-medievalism is upon us.

All you had to do was DCA into bitcoin the whole time.

All you have to do now is DCA into bitcoin, we're literally at the bottom, but you won't.

Ahahaha, here's a crypto retard with EXCELLENT advice. This will definitely put you on the path to "making it" lol.

You might be right honestly but I just don't see the world in those terms anymore. There is just a big hot rolling ball of money going from sector to sector pumping it to zillions and then leaving for a new sector leaving bagholders in its wake. I know this is a comical take given spy and qqq are at aths and have been grinding higher relentlessly with minimal pullbacks for like 15 years now. But as soon as you abandon the index and try to play sectors or god forbid individual stocks or crypto then suddenly it is an unwinnable zero sum game. I guess the answer is to play the index, maybe triple lever it for yuks, and fuck off for good. But I have a strong need to be outperforming someone, somewhere. If I buy the index then I never can. It's fucked up. I think I am the epitome of retail trash, like I am the spitting image of the thing that every hedge fund and pod shop is out to hunt and liquidate.

That is in fact how to do it. And keep putting money in. And, very importantly, not selling on downturns. Here's a tip: when you sit down with actual wealth managers, they typically give YOU a questionnaire to fill out. And it will always have the question "What would your reaction be to a 25% loss in your portfolio in a market downturn?" They are looking to filter out people who don't grasp the concept of local minima. Who will panic instead of thinking long term. There are no short term winners, just like there are no short term winners in a casino. They technically exist, but they are just statistical anomalies and you cannot approach investing expecting to be one. Index funds beat every single hand trader on Wall Street, if you don't include weirdo shit like HFT.

index funds make you die a poor loser just like your father
