I work as a consultant for a Fortune 100 where we are actively engaged in replacing most of the office staff.You have to understand that its not that the companies haven't mostly replaced their employees yet because AI is bad - its as good as it needs to be right now. The thing is nobody has developed the proper workflows yet, translated the wagies often still horrendous email and excel-based workflows (YES this happens in Fortune 100 companies still, in literally 2026) to things the machines can do. And that is really what I'm taking a massive paycheck with stock bonuses for right now.None of these companies will have average salarymen in 5 years, working for one will make you a literal rockstar but you will never get that job.
