>~170k in investments + cash>another ~180k in retirement accounts (Roth IRA and two 401ks) >want to quit my job and just be a NEET fuck and enjoy my 30s-50s stress freeHow do I best achieve this?Currently spending one biweekly paycheck (~3350 USD net) and save the other; could get my monthly spend down to around 2500 by reducing spending, and probably 1500-2000 by moving somewhere cheaperI just want to live a chill stress-free life while I'm able, I honestly don't have any real interest in wageslaving until I'm a modestly wealthy decrepit, there's literally no point Last resort would be seeing if my parents could help me buy an affordable home with cash which would bring my monthly spend down to maybe a grand a month, definitely less than 1500
>>62577837Depends where you live and how old you are. Its a dynamic time now with the US empire thrashing about trying to keep the dollar system dominant. The reported inflation numbers are way too low and will eat your saving in the next 20 years. You will need a lot more money like 1m better if its 2m with safe investments. One medical issue and you can lose all or most of your money if you do not have insurance. Just get a go nothing government job with a 457b retirement account and max it out. There is no age limit to take penalty free distributions, you just need to stop working for that employer, so then you would have access to your dividends from your 457. You can also ROLL your current 401ks into your 457 to remove the age limits (check with a tax professional to ensure its still legal without penalty).
>>62577837>all that money>doesn't own a home
>>62578146mid 30s, medium cost of living, USAI'm not planning a long drawn out retirement; I don't have any interest in living past like 60 or so, that shit sounds miserableI suppose I could donate plasma or some wfh side hustle bullshit to supplement income to make my savings last longer but I really don't want to do more than maybe 5-10 hours a weekFigure I can live on the investments/dividends/savings/interest for a good ~5-7 years while the retirement accounts grow then draw from them>>62578185cause i'm retarded and didn't buy a house ~5 years ago when i moved here before both home prices and interest rates went full jew
Get to 200k in your brokerage Put it into CC etfs they pay like 12% annually. That should suffice until you can pull out of your retiremenrBecome a criminal if the economy ever goes south
>>62578221>Figure I can live on the investments/dividends/savings/interest for a good ~5-7 yearsConsidering your time horizon, give Euro stocks serious thought. This is not financial advice. If you have any questions contact a real licensed financial advisor. The King of Spain Never Rushes
>>62578221>I don't have any interest in living past like 60If you keep yourself in shape you will be killing it because everyone else let themselves go. At 60 you can be in great shape, running, mountain biking, swimming, surfing, skiing whatever and really be enjoying life. If you let yourself go like 95% of obesetards then you are in for a life of diabeetuz, cancer and other problems. Your life might peak at 60 or 70 and you can be living large if you die early then you die early there is no need to worry about it, but if you die early at least die knowing you doing the best you could and getting the most out of life. Also, if you develop any hobbies you really like they cost money. I used to race motocross for fun, I was good at it, it costs money but I am glad I did it, it was worth it.
>>62578265>At 60 you can be in great shape, running, mountain biking, swimming, surfing, skiing whatever and really be enjoying lifeOr I could do that now in the actual prime of my life, which is the whole point of wanting to retire now >hobbiesI already have my full frame dlsr, fly fishing gear, gaming pc that i upgraded a few years ago, rifle i built years ago after shooting competitively my childhood, my hobbies (or at least the initial capital investments) are all paid for I just want to live a quiet simple life on my own terms without wageslaving (even though I generally like my career and I'm good at it and well-recognized)
I have a 580K euros networth while living in eastern europe and i can't retire from itin which world can you retire with 350K dollars without even owning your home?Go back to work stupid summerfaga thread died for this ffs
>>62577837You need 1 million USD liquid minimum of you are part of the permanent underclass
>>62578280>Or I could do that now in the actual prime of my lifeyou should be doing it now at full speed, not waiting. Just keep doing what you like as long as possible. Your interests change, there are always new things to try. You can live a quiet simple life and still maximize enjoyment and satisfaction. Jobs/careers are changing you could be fired/laid off because some retard thinks AI can do your job and you never get another job, so dont be too quick to leave. Maybe consider starting your own business as consultant and have your current employer hire you back, many advantages to running your own busines. I used to have a quiet office job. Monday morning I was so tired from the weekend I needed a couple of days to recover and prepare for the next weekend. My coworkers never did anything. 20 years later they did nothing with their free time, seems like a total waste to me. You will die, you have no choice, what's the hurry? Do the most you can while you can as long as you can. Once the time is gone you cant get it back, dont waste it.
>>62578235Not OP but can you elaborate on this? What are cc etfs?
>>62581672they sell dated CCs of indeces. JEPI, JEPQ, GPIQ, SPYI. its fine as long as the market is either flat or pumps. bad if it takes a downturn.
>>62578235If you are careful about selecting only foreign Canadian CC ETFs that provide annual PFIC forms such as Global X or Hamilton's offerings, and file QEF forms, then you can get as high as 30% yield with no NAV erosion and no or little withholding tax. Downside is that it's Canada. We need better taxation rules on options.
