How do you manage shared finances with a wife?
>>62588720I make shitoads of money and she spends it.
>>62588720marry an accountant or don't marry at all, women are bad with money but the accountant is obsessed with numbers she probably won't spend as mucht. married to CPA
>>62588727What if you wanted to save lots of money instead of spending it?
>marrying in 2020+6I pity you
>>62588734For what? To spend later?
>>62588752Yeah, to spend on retirement, travel, a house, etc.
>>62588734Then she will hand you the divorce papers the day after you tell her you're going to do that.
>>62588762Ah. I have all that. Have had for longer than 4chan has existed
>>62588720ask you bull
>>62588739Ikr.
>>62588720>shared financeslol
>>62588720It’s very simple. I don’t have a wife.
>>62588762But seriously what me and the wife do is we each have $50k worth of credit cards. Once per year I pay off her cards and mine. If either of us maxes out our cards before the end of the fiscal year we're cut off. That's our individual spending money. Stuff like travel or buying a new car or going out to dinner together we both decide on and I pay for
>>62588810Most people probably can't do quite those numbers, but that scheme seems reasonable.
>>62588824Yeah we started off sharing a checking account but then it turned into a race every month to see who could spend it first. The card system works both for rewards and to give us each a set limit so if we don't feel like blowing money we don't have to worry about the other one spending it first.Keeps it fair even though technically it's all my money, not hers
>>62588720I give my wife an allowance of $1200/month to spend on whatever she wants no questions asked. It transfers to her account 2x a month. She can make purchases that don’t come from this money but they have to be “needs” that I agree with. Her “wants” come from this allowance or any gifts I give her for bday, Christmas, anniversary, etc. We tried just sharing all spending with one account but it drove me mad when she would go spend hundreds at lululemon or whatever and I’d question why this was necessary etc. For my sanity and hers it’s better if I just give her $1200 to light on fire every month since this is at least capped and I can manage the rest of our budget which includes a lot of savings
>>62588720
>>62588911Some people pay extra for that
>>62588720I pay for everything important and any money she makes from her part time job is fun spending money for her.
>>62588720first, pretend to get super woke and convert to islam, then convert your wife to islam, then treat her like shit because its allowed and never let her vote on anything to do with finances. then just act normal and do what you want and never tell her. downside is you can't drink in the house or come home drunk anymore.
Imagine giving money to a women because you're addicting to pussy.
As a single man I think it would be better for everyone to have their own accounts and only share accounts for shared expenses (anything involving childcare, paying for the house, vacations, etc) Better for women because there is less of a power dynamic (guy doesn’t control all of the money you have your own) better for men because they don’t have to worry about frivolous spending
>>62588935That's not the only reason. My wife had excellent credit, owned half a house and a third of a successful business. She didn't like working so I offered to run her biz and pay for her house. I can get pussy anywhere. Good luck finding a woman that's comfortable with you quitting your job to run a business
you cant. she holds unilateral power
>>62588840>technically it's all my moneywho wants to tell him?
>>62588720I take care of all of them even though she's an accountant
>>62588720You don't.
>>62588720You have a woman that has assets and dont share finances. I provide the house, she pays "rent" to me which is basically our expenses.
Always keep a sizable portion that she doesn’t know about and always act like you aren’t as wealthy as you really are. When you treat her make sure she thinks that you think it is a bad financial decision so she can feel special.
>>62588720I straight up told my wife she sucks with money and I need to manage it for her and put her on an allowance.
>>62589459How did she react?
>>62588720>shared with wife
>>62588720>shared finances with a wife?aka she really has the final say and will just threaten to divorce if you ever disagreeyou "manage those finances" by staying on her good side, enjoy
>My wife and I earn our own salaries (no kids yet)>Have our own bank accounts>On shared things like bills one of us pays and then the other pays the other one back>Have our own investments Shrimple
>>62589459this works until she mentions it in passing to her friends down the line and those bitter shrews gas her up and tell her not to accept this by ranting the word "deserve" to her in 10 different ways
>>62589682That's how it went with my cunt wife who never had to work during our marriage, when she divorced me she had to become a wagie and I retired and haven't worked since and been traveling the world banging milfs then ghosting them and moving countries
My wife's actually really good with money>>62588729Not CPA but Physics background so still nerdy STEM. I was nervous at first but it didn't take long to realize she doesn't spend much and makes good investment choicesWe both have our own income going into our own accounts but we also both have access to each others account
Wife has 100% control over finances.
>>62588739>>62588775For me, it was that very day lol.
>>62588918I would pay extra for her to beat me with the belt, just like mom used to :D
>>62588911KYS
Allowance was the way too go, when we had a shared spending account she fucking "adjusted" to having that much money to spend.
>>62589888She must be dumb as fuck to marry you
We both get paid into separate accounts, monthly send a set amount for all the shared expenses and a little extra for unexpected stuff like car repairs. All bills get paid from a shared account automatically. I send her a set amount for a months worth of food for our whole family as she is wfh stay at home mum and does most of the groceries ad hoc. We budgeted for 3 months few years ago, averaged the numbers up and slightly adjust the set amounts annualy. Pretty much a set and forget setup. All the money left in accounts after payday is left for frivolous shit and investments/savings. We split the bills when going out most of the time but I treat her with a gift or a dinner from time to time so she feels appreciated for all the hard work she does at home.
I'm 39 and never had a gf
>>62588810Do you let the credit build up all year until you pay it off? Sounds very financially irresponsible for someone claiming to make more than $100k annually.Unless you've found the magical credit card that only starts costing money a year after you spend it.
>>62589930I'm a 26 year old kissless handholdless virgin that gets nervous when I think an attractive woman likes me which gives her the ick and avoids me forever after that. I'm not even that unattractive, just awkward.
>>62588720My wife gives me her paycheck and I manage her brokerage account and give her an allowance. She has more money than her parents because of me.
>>62588810...do you let the balance ride or pay per cycle? my wife maxes the limit on the card i gave her and i pay it every month
>>62588720I let her handle it. I make money and spend whatever I feel like on guns and airplanes. Wife does all the budgeting, groceries, taxes and other that stuff I don't give a crap about. The only time I look at money is to make sure the total net worth keeps going up at a reasonable pace.
We have our own accounts our salaries go into and we have a joint account that both transfer half the mortgage and half the bill costs into (plus a little extra). For groceries whoever buys them keeps the receipt and we balance it out at the end of the month, we each cover the costs of anything we bought for just one us rather than the household (she spends more on snacks, I spent more on booze). Vacations and home improvements are paid 50/50 using our own seperate savings and investments.>tldrMarry an adult not a child who happens to be of adult age
>>62590863that's not a wife. you have a roommate.
>>62591020A roommate that exclusively fucks you is the ideal though
>>62588810>>62588874Ok guys i am genuinely curious, how can you tell me with a straight face that this isn’t prostitution. You’re paying your wife for the continued privilege to fuck her and if you stop, she doesn’t just go away, she can just legally rob half your assets. How is this a good deal? I can pay 19 year olds 60-100 dollars for pussy overseas and then sometimes it just becomes exactly like the arrangement you described except way cheaper, and I can cut it off anytime and they just fuck off, and I can find another one or fuck multiple I genuinely do not get it
>>62591099not its not that guy has to get 10 gold stars on his chore chart before she'll touch him.

>>62588720She is going to divorce you in less than 5 years. Hopefully by that time you'll have learned from that mistake.
