How the fuck are these GenZ-monkey-kiddies all investing in the stock market? Where did they gain any interest in worldly affairs?
Not trying to tear them down. I am honestly jealous. I wish I had financially literate parents who'd introduce me to this. I always saved money and wrote in a small booklet as a child how much money I made with my little 6th grade job, but never did I think or even consider stocks/etfs etc. investing. Now I feel like I am late to the party in my 30s. These kids will be giganiggionaires. All they have to do is invest for 10 years from 20-30 and they are set!

remember at 25 having 55k, but then invested in my studies and used it all up for tuition.

I was around 28 when I began. One early success was finding an asset that multiplied the initial investment by 30. You can find assets that really soar but odds are you'll have to put aside your recreational time a lot more often to do this. In some ways it's just exchanging the near-term joy of some hobby you enjoy for the long-term goal of accelerating your gains.
There are a lot of people who focus a lot on making money with their youth and regret it. I imagine the growing number of success stories of people replacing time spent working extra hours/jobs,with time spent investing has increased the odds of younger folk seeing there's another way. Sometimes good ideas spread to the point that they are then considered "common sense".

compounding interest is taught in 7th grade math you just weren't paying attention.

My uncle works at a bank and set up a college fund for my cousin and also guided him throughout his upbringing about finance and the finance world

My fucking loser father gave me an Amex gold card and let me be a worthless spoiled kid that just spent thousands a month partying, fucking teen sluts, and eating/drinking at restaurants on weekdays like I was some kind of aristocrats son. Then he just arbitrarily and without warning cut the card when I was 24.

I’m 35 now and I’m doing ok, but I would have appreciated him actively engaging with me to mold and shape me into a young professional like my uncle did instead of the absent but present spoiling with no discipline.

Reading /biz/ to find assets
Then stop reading /biz/ because /biz/ is full of actual subhumans, bears, baggies, retards, jeets who will try to fud you out of your winning investment because they think if High Tech Coin 10xes it will somehow mean xrp won't (it won't anyway) so they hate it.

This board is a good place to see random stuff mentioned before it blows up, like Micron a year ago, but also a shithole because people will actively fud as well and fuck you out of making it. Literal crab bucket.

my mommy said I'd get 12k on college graduation then stole the money for her second wedding years ago. I'm reaching a point where I want to tell her to kill herself and die in a ditch.

Yeah, you basically look around for starting points and then look into them carefully for yourself.

I'm 29 and at $340k, it might seem impressive until you find out I've been living with my parents. A lot of zoomers have no reason to, or can't afford to, move out of our parents home so all of our money goes into stocks. A lot of "rich" zoomers you see on the internet are like this. Personally I think I'm doing poorly and should have invested more.

Same shit happened to me. My parents bought me a house, paid for college, covered my car and insurance, and basically handled every major expense I had. I thought that was just normal parenting.

Then when I turned 37 they suddenly told me I was "on my own" financially. No warning. Just completely cut me off.

I'm still pissed about it. You spend 37 years establishing a certain standard of living for your child and then just expect him to start paying his own mortgage and bills overnight? That's terrible parenting.

They better hope they saved some of that money for a nice retirement home because I certainly won't be paying for one.

Old age will be absolutely brutal to Millennials. The first generation to retire with less wealth than the younger working generation. Just think about how unaffordable everything will be when younger people have more disposable income due to being in work AND more money saved in investments, more credit etc. Seriously if you're a Millennial you need to start praying for an early death.
