Anybody else kind of tired of /biz/? It used to be fun, anons used to be funny. There was a perfect mixture of actual in-detail business and financial discussions, along with schizo and shitposting that was actually funny. Now it's just boring. The schizoposting isn't funny, the shitposting isn't funny, it's just the same spammed threads over and over again. There is zero alpha and the business questions are things that can be self-taught with a 5 minute Google search. /pol/tards have flooded the board, lowering the IQ of /biz/ by at least 30 IQ points.Any oldfags here know that it's been a slow downgrade over the last 10 years. But, the last 5 seems like it went from a downhill slope to falling off of a cliff. Why do you think this happened and what do you think could be done to improve /biz/?
>>62596355People lost their money and gains years ago and generally gave up on making it. Others are stuck in 5 or 6 figure hell for years because all the money and pumps have evaporated. Those who made it left and are living their life or coping with hobbies and other distractions in the real world.
This board is a reverse filter for intelligence. Those who are smart make it and leave, meaning overtime you're left with the dummies who don't.
>>62596355I’m a 2017 newfren who did alright. I seem to just come from habit. The quality is low because it’s mostly people wanting to make a quick buck and don’t want to do any work, it seems like, who are a dime a dozen. They don’t actually have an edge or don’t even realize they don’t have an edge and are just harming themselves
I come here twice a day, once in the morning to report all the "If you aren't in the 10%" bot posts and later in the evening to shitpost.
yeah noI've been here since the board was createdIt used to be full of pump and dump spam, real pump and dump scams everywhere, in every thread.
>>62596355I'm gettin tired of your attitude. Maybe you should lighten up.

/biz/ is OK, especially relative to other boards
You should see pol downfall

I was around for the 30 year old boomer memes and the sharpie up the pooper for crypto posts. I've seen the whole rise and fall of countless cryptocurrencies eventually you run out of other people to push crypto on. The Coldcard hack was the final straw, it was the crypto 9/11 and 10/7 combined. I don't even look at buttcoin anymore because its like laughing at disabled people. I don't trust anything to do with cryptocurrencies anymore. Meanwhile I'm fed up of seeing minimum wage workers get harassed or even assaulted for Pokémon cards.
The coldcard hack wasn't that bad. On one hand, I agree that coldcard put out a shit product and should face all the consequences. But on the other hand, and I realize it's no true scottsman fallacy, if you go so far as to use a coldcard because you don't trust trezor or ledger, go the extra mile and roll your own entropy. I think the blame falls on coldcard and the maxifag influencers who had shilled coldcard without pushing maxifag principles of rolling your own entropy as well.
Why effort post when there's like 30 ips on standby to call you a tranny for not feeding the echo chamber

>>62596616No it's the truth. I fondly remember when anons would have actual discussions and actually be open to sharing and learning. Now nobody wants to do any of that, and the board is polluted with bots and shills for shit like GME type memestocks and Link who are not open to good faith discussions and only wish to advertise their yoke
This board used to be full of jeets spamming meme coins and obvious rug pulls, I don't know what nostalgia glasses you are wearing

Yeah /biz/ is fucking BS.What other boards or even places on the internet do you guys lurk in?
>>62596686What is there to discuss anymore? Crypto is on life support and may never recover, trad markets are manipulated as fuck. We can all doompost about how fucked the economy is, or post memes. That's about it
>>62596745>Trad markets are manipulated as fuckI think there's plenty of knowledge to be had for this board still that people don't have. In the past there have been anons on this board that dealt heavily in exotic instruments in tradfi and taught me much.
>>62596355Good I want it to be just me and a couple Jannie’s and the link niggers left here. >>62596355There is no business to be made. Since the trade war, the market has completely consolidated, meaning it either all goes up or all goes down. You can no longer diversify your investments ...
>>62596355This happens at the bottom of every bear market. Everyone will come back to this place when we start pumping again.
>>62596355Back in like 2017 I felt like /biz/ was letting me catch stuff early. Even in 2020 with DeFi I still felt it a bit. Now it's all just people coping and talking about other people making money.
>>62596355Every forum relating to business, careers, etc has had a massive tone shift. People talk more about surviving than about /making it/. I think the conversation going from fantasies about your real life beginning after you make it to "everything's rigged against you and you're part of the permanent underclass if you haven't made it already" killed people's enthusiasm to research and discuss anything business related. At best you'll see outdated boglehead advice, someone who wants to start a pressure washing business, and a guy who's unironically trying to sell an excel macro he vibe-coded in 30 seconds. No one's succeeding, and the people doing well are only doing so because of their success in past years. There's very little to even talk about for action you can take proactively. All you can do is complain about how bad the economy is, or show off the money you made in the past. Why participate in that negativity at all?
>>62596772Downfall? Begins here? How pleasant
>>62596355I like modern /biz/. It's a lot like classic /pol/ before it got infested with literal shills and cointelpro
Every bullrun has a new batch of intelligent anons make it and leave, and a new batch of retards arriving. That's why this board has been in a constant downward spiral
>>62596633Yep. Happened to me. Not NFTs tho I never touched that shit. But I am never touching crypto again. Not BTC, not any of it.
I want a 2018 casino kind of run but without mentally ill troons
>>62596355You are sad and nostalgic because you can't fool normies with Bitcoin again after all that web3/nft fiasco.Grow up.
>>62596678Naw because the millennial userbase mostly moved to other websites anyway, the problem is that it's AGING because actual 50+yos keep coming here, like how facebook got ruined in the 2010s.
>>62596596oh and there's this. Some crypto projects taht don't suck exist- look at how Zcash pumped last year. But XMR baggies were seething and crying and trying to crab bucket everyone else "I've been holding for 15 years I deserve to make it". You invested in a privacy currency to buy illegal porn, retard, it's not a speculative asset. You lose. And then, like I said, they fud people out of winning assets like zcash in 2025 because /biz/ is ltierally the biggest impediment to making it.
>>62596717>missed out on the whole AI boom>>>too much shit which you cant filter from the good infos/smg/ is especially bad because it was originally /rhg/ and in 2020 was basically memestock general, but it's devolved into retarded poorfags and boomers telling people to buy 30 year funds like VTI and just "work 40 years then retire". That's not why this board exists, this board exists because people wanted some kind of news or edge that would hep them make it. No clue why so many slow growth failed normalfags come here.
>>62596825we can't post new stuff, it's all baggie cults who seethe because they see "new coin" as taking money from their baggie cult.

>>62597297Sorry it was busy, working. It wasn’t getting drilled and pozzed by Jews like yourself. Now that it has decoupled from Bitcoin, which the Jews grew tired of in favor of AI, it’s showing its strength literally as we speak while the rest of crypto does what it was designed to do. There’s bitcoin, and there’s monero, stupid nigger.
>>62597247Lmfao zcash? Zionist cash? What actual use case project or business uses that? >from the absolute Jew niggers that brought you the shitcoin industry, pumping and dumping and made up imaginary problems, we bring you Zionist Cash (ticker zcash zek)
>>62597346>1pbtidZcash went up 40xXMR went up 4xYou are exactly the kind of loser baggot who will never make it that I am talking about.
Anyway OP as you can see this thread and board are dead because 80 IQ baggies want to hold onto loser assets that never pump and actively seethe at the ones that do pump, fud anything new posted etc. This is why the board is dead. At some point it should have gone the opposite way it did- threads like XMR and XRP should have been sent to trash to make way for actual assets that might actually have a future.
>>62597415Uh sir, your greedy Jew nose is showing. You didn’t answer my question. Enjoy burning.
/biz/ was cool before people started posting random generic westoid women. If you did it back then, someone would inevitably say "that girl is not asian." It was a cooler vibe.
This is what happens when the coins stop going up. People are also just depressed in general. Also, we can't deny that the culture hasn't changed due to millions of Browns coming online every single day. They don't appreciate art, content, or anything. They don't make memes or try to have fun on the internet. Their only goal is to extract and scam white people and other shitskins.
>and the business questions are things that can be self-taught with a 5 minute Google searchI think a lot of this is most people recognizing they can get tailored advice from LLMs now. No need to ask here when posting is slow and no guarantee anyone will visit your thread.
OP here.Thank you all for the replies. Sorry I didn't respond earlier, I was out with my mom walking in the park and we visited a few outdoor events.

>>62596355Checked and desu you right. But making money and fun/jokes never went hand in hand.
>>62596355>Why do you think this happenedIt's all downstream of biz losing alpha. You absolutely used to be able to find life-changing financial advice on this board, yes you had to dig for it and filter out a ton of noise but it was here. A community formed around that which was retarded, lively, fun, energetic, optimistic, all sorts of things born of passion and genuine interest because people knew buried deep somewhere in here was the key to actually making it, 10000x gems, high conviction full port plays, etc. That alpha moved on to CT and fintwit around 2020-21 and from there to gated telegram and discord groups around 23-24. There is nothing left here but 70iq mouthbreathers fishing around in the couch cushions for a quarter that isn't there anymore, and without the thrill of the chase and the promise of the payout there is no reason to expend energy here memeing, researching, making frens, whatever.

>>62597840This desu. /biz/ was never good and always just as retarded as it is now. There just used to be much more posting going on when it’s not a crypto bear market.

That’s all that matters.I still remember MONA coin, Digibyte, ARK, MiloCoin, all these investments are worthless now. Their generals finally died off years ago.Buy BTC, VOO, physical gold/silver. It’s always been that easy, but the lotto-ticket mentality “One link will be $1,000!” “GME will break the economy!”, these anons destroyed the board with their irrational fixations and legitimate mental-illnesses.They gather together, and still they bombard the board with nonsense. They’re so far gone they’ll think I’m a paid shill, when in REALITY their investment is down massively these past 5 years, whereas anything else is massively UP.It’s pathetic more than anything, I have a disdain for them.
>>62597627It’ll only get worse. Moving to Japan is the only correct answer left.
>>62597858>BTCOne thing I have never asked or heard asked is whether BTC would be relevant or out perform in a multipolar world or one in which the US can no longer afford to run a capital account surplus. I think this is equally valid for VOO and really most of the US stock market, if the plan truly is reshoring. The writing is already on the wall for gold.Atleast for equities one can easily hedge with foreign stocks.

>>62598146A ton of crypto influencers beginning to shill ZEC at the same time could be explained by the bug that was later discovered, which allowed anyone to mint infinite amount of coins in the privacy pool.If someone found that exploit, then paying all of the top crypto influencers with ZEC in return for shilling it and creating a mega pump for exit liquidity would be the most rational approach. It would allow the exploiter to cash out an assload of minted tokens from the privacy pool without garnering too much suspicion due to the increase in volume

In 2018, there was a low barrier to entry to huge potential gains, with many possible opportunities with some promising, exciting projects, and there were only a few hundred to assess to try and pick a winner. Now, there are tens of thousands of coins in crypto to assess, there are so many scams, it's much easier to fake the backstory (team, social proof etc.), and there is simply target confusion. For other items, coins like Link which have done a lot of things (though also had many fuck ups) the "right way" aren't getting rewarded in terms of price action, leading holder to feel disenfranchised and bitter. In terms of exciting AI and robotics companies and many other frontiers, they seem either totally private in terms of investment opportunities so out of reach for the common 4chan user, or there is too much unknown, again with some target confusion, especially given the black box type tech that is in a lot of AIBasically, back then it was easy to find a winner, now it's very difficult, and often so difficult that it's overwhelming.
