He claims FICO credit scores are meaningless and you can easily rent an apartment and get a mortgage without one. is he right or full of shit?
>>62606110Right. Banks just check your assets like 401k to determine whether they want to lend you money.
I mean you can, but you'll get better terms with one and in a mortgage the amount is so significant that you probably should have good credit history if possiblebut Ramsey never tells people optimal advice. he tells people the simplest advice that is the hardest to fuck up, because the people who go to him have already fucked something up
>>62606110Yes
Only america use credit scores. Its like playing a video game. Most ppl cant get hired because its all about keeping credit scores low. Come on now managers and executives are all in on it to opress everyday americans. I thought we all knew this already. Why you think you see more and more young adults start their own business because any corporate or union job you get these days THEY WILL FUCKING HOLD YOU BACK. A agent told me before he retired they was holding us back intentionally. ITS FUCKED UP thanks for telling chris happy retirement.
>>62606110He's talking to the gigaretards who carry debt and make other stupid decisions becuse MUH credit score utilization rate. If you make sensible financial decisions (basically follow other advice), then you don't need to fret about the FICO score. It doesn't mean that someone with a 550 isn't a massive red flag, but those failures are apparent without looking at the score itself
>>62606113Amd your income from your job. But you're right.>>62606110I was able to rent an apartment by myself at 21 with no credit card and an unknown credit score, all I had was a car payment for 2 years before that.
>>62606110I enjoy getting new cards off credit karma. I have the chase sapphire preferred and freedom flex, a cool 25k combined CC limit. I enjoy whipping it out
Maybe right, but why wouldn't you just use a credit card anyway? It's an IQ test. Just spend within your means and set it to auto-pay from your checking account each month. If you earn 3% cashback that's basically a free discount on everything. If for some reason you'd prefer debit, just set up a small S3 bucket or some shit for a small recurring payment to prevent it from closing on itself.
>>62606512^ Also this
I struggle to imagine how dysfunctional you have to be to maintain a low credit score for 5-7 years, or to really get below 500 at all.Get a credit card, capital one will approve you if you haven't been a very, very bad borrowers. Even if they won't someone else will.Pay for everything with the credit card then when you're in your car send that much cash to the credit card company. By the time any bad strikes on your credit score age out you'll be well over 700.I guess people just fuck up 20x worse than I can imagine then settle with debt collectors for partial repayment and it tanks them lower than I can comprehend. Even then you're less than a decade away from 700-800
>>62606110why is this retard boomer shilling rental apartments now. lmao he losing his audience?
>>62606110When do you think was the last time he rented an apartment?
>>62607548
>>62606110Dave Ramsey tells his listeners this so he can funnel them to his business affiliates that offer dogshit mortgage rates for people with no credit because Jesus. You have to be smarter than this to get ahead, Dave Ramsey is fleecing his flock.
>>62606110>>62606115Correct. If you know enough to say Ramsey is wrong then you're also probably not in the retard camp who needs his advice. It's like telling an addict you don't need paint thinner for anything and you can do just fine without it. Like that's very obviously wrong but it's also the case you probably don't want someone who huffs shit to get some paint thinner because you fucking know what's going to happen.
>>62608555He owns a bunch of rental properties that his son-in-law manages, some of which they have mortgages on, yet he claims he never "borrows money" >>62610707kek what a piece of garbage
My friend makes 100k a year as a branch manager and is looking for a new place to rent. corporate landlord at a place he looked at asked for a credit check and he's freaking out because he hasn't ever had a credit card in +10 years. I told him his score is still probably above average even if he fucked up a card when he was 18. Still funny though, he's got 3 years of never missing rent and his paystubs and they still want a credit check.
>>62610822You can usually voluntarily report things like on time rent payments to credit bureaus and it will increase your credit score.
Why do you losers keep posting stuff like it's 2005 and you're gonna get da big swe job and live in da big cityLook around you and stop larping
>>62606110Link to where he said that. That's retarded. If your credit is exceptionally shitty, you will absolutely get denied for a mortgage or an apartment.

>>62610997>That credit score being near perfect is costing you hundreds of thousands of dollars in interest. It's the only possible way to get an 800.God. What a dummy. It's absolutely possible to get to 800+ FICO with low-interest debt. I know because that's how I've played the game over the past 15 years. The algorithm mostly rewards your credit history length, payment history and how much of your available credit that's being used. It doesn't give a shit if you're paying interest or not. I agree with him saying that credit score isn't a measure of financial success though. The callers that asked that dumbass question are focused on the wrong thing.>>62606110>He claims FICO credit scores are meaningless and you can easily rent an apartment and get a mortgage without oneThe snippet you linked didn't mention this. I highly doubt he ever said it.
>>62606110You can but you will pay a higher interest rate. If you're doing an sbloc or margin loan that doesn't matter though.
>>62610413he may be able to block me but not his boomer hemorrhoids
>>62610997>>62611044I never pay interest on credit cards, and my score is above 800. If anything, I made several thousand dollars from all the cashback and sign-up bonuses. I think it'd cost me more in interest to LOWER my score, because then I'd be making late payments start paying interest and fees.
Is it a good idea to keep a good goy score and then one day just max everything out and leave the country? Asking for Sam Hyde
>>62606185>gigaretards who carry debtturbomidwit detectedmoney isn't real, they print endlessly whenever they want while convincing goycattle like you to "earn" it and "manage debt" while they do the exact oppositeit's all jewish illusions, the way you win in this system is you either refuse to play the game and go innawoods or do what they do and use debt (money from jews who steal/print it) to invest, buy things you need and generally get ahead in life, you're the gigaretard if you slave your life away for itwhen the bill comes due, just ignore it like they do, take out more credit/loans to cover any losses and try again, ALL billionaires and businesses do thisI've maxed out many credit cards over two decades and never, ever paid anything back in full, even when I made it buying cryptothis probably enrages you - thanks for the risk-free investments and free stuff goylem!
>>62612597Credit card companies and their ilk tend to have reach and influence well beyond the US, so you'd be limited in where you can flee to and still avoid the legal fallout. Maybe China, since they only allow Alipay and Wechat, but east Asia isn't very kind to foreigners. You'd have to stay out of pretty much every western country, even for airport connections, until each country's respective statute of limitations ran out.
>>62612547I've abused the hell out of credit card bonuses over the years. I've opened over 60 cards and about 35 or so are still active. That's probably what's keeping me from a perfect score.
>>62606110Nobody checks your credit score for renting unless you maybe you're brown or something and they're trying to shoo you away politely.
Depends on the area, if you are in a huge metro where everything is big property managers then they do check. Most places you can find a small owner and give a spit shake
>>62611044>The snippet you linked didn't mention this. I highly doubt he ever said it.He implied they are if he is encouraging his audience to have a 0 credit score. He also claimed he did a study that said 75% of landlords don't require a credit score. If you've ever searched for an apartment you'd realize that is complete bullshit
