Can you say he's wrong? He wrote that in the 1920s... Even Friedman said business is ultimately the #1 enemy of the free market.

Just look at this AI companies, all taking stakes in each other to assure that they must be bailed out when things go south.

NVDA whos also partly open AI who's also partly AMD whos also partly and so on and so fourth.

To use some familiar examples: with bideo games, how many indie capable of making anything better than half finished early access sloppa that looks like it came out 15 years ago studios are left? Or are they just putting out garbage?

Do you think that in a perfectly competitive market we could have NFLX, HBO MAX, and Amazon Prime Studios all making tranny slop no one wants to watch?

Or that a game like concord funded with half a billion could succeed in making it so far to find an audience of 400 players in a state of true competition?

Think on it anonson.
We are all socialists already, just more like... charter school socialism - you can elect which state organization you wish to spend your resource points with.

It gets fucky as fuck with taxes though. Under like €60k shekels you don't pay wealth tax. Houses are taxed relatively little. Also they're introducing the insane UNrealized gains tax aids cancer.

It's too complicated to work out and make an informed decision, especially considering they change the rules all the fucking time. Then there's the psychology of no longer having 300k at your disposal and being stuck in this hell hole that's getting africanized, jeeted and mosque'd.

yeah if you would have to drop citizenship then there's not much that can improve. income layer ETFs may actually be the best option for you, since they tend not to actually gain in share price you would mostly look at ordinary income or however it's taxed over there, and you'd actually have access to that income instead of having to sell

But where does one GO?

I have looked into it a bit.
Argentina is to politically unstable.
Brazil is... I don't need to really say it do I?
Panama is just America.

St thomas and stuff in the Caribbean I imagine works like one of those small Maine towns in a S. King novel where they eat upstart outsiders on the full moon.

The only decent looking prospect as far as I can see is Uruguay based on the numbers, but they aren't really rolling out the red carpet.

Asia looks generally more attractive.
I don't think you need to live in a walled compound guarded by dudes with LMGs to prevent from being kidnapped either.

Panama, Uruguay or Paraguay.

You say Panama is just America... well that's what makes it great, plus if you structure correctly, you pay zero taxes on foreign income/capital gains. Seriously. You have to give up American citizenship though, that's a unique problem with being a yankee.

Alternatively, you do the Puerto Rico Act 60 without giving up American citizenship, but you do have to pay capital gains on anything before moving there.

Okay, about my portfolio.

There's too much to say about it in one post. I'd go over the character limit and would have to make multiple posts. So I'll just talk about my hedges.

These
YGLD 6.0%
ERX 1.5%
SLEEVE 5: LIQUID AND TREND (18.5%)
KMLM 5.5%
CTA 5.0%
DBMF 4.5%
TYA 3.5%

That's a total, essential hedge allocation of 22.5%, though you could say energyisn't really a hedge. It's just a hedge most of the time. You might not e familiar with these tickers. Every single one of them is leveraged. Even the managed futures. But the managed futures don't tell you how much leverage they do unless you go through the quarterly reports, and they're always changing leverage tactically. Another issue with determining effective exposure you have with managed futures is their leverage is usually not the same directionality. So a lot of the longs and shorts, they'll be in opposing directions and cancel out. You'll see a lot of managed futures with like 500% leverage, but most of that isn't directional. The fund will move with low volatility, because there's a lot of longs and shorts neutralising the other direction.

So my point of explaining all that. I went through past managed futures quarterly reports, and made approximations of effective exposure of each fund. Almost all of them are over 1x exposure. DBMF for example, has an effective exposure of 1.8x, CTA 1.3x, KMLM 1.5x. So all these funds are going to punch above their weight. YGLD is 1.5x gold, ERX is 2x energy, and TYA is 3x 10 year US treasurys. 3.5% in TYA is basically like having 10% in intermediate treausrys in your portfolio. The effective exposure of all m hedges is about 39%.

So my 22.5% allocation in hedges has an effective maximum exposure of 39%, and it can go a little higher because managed futures change leverage tactically. On average, it's about 39% maximum exposure for my hedges. The issue, or weakness with my hedges, is they're not all immediate.

I ran out of characters
>>
>>62618988
They're still corrupt and will try to fleece you whenever, especially as a wealthy foreigner. Plus you're not getting the services you get in America and it's extremely hot and humid.
>>
>>62618969
Cash is trash
>>
>>62619002
Most of my hedges don't respond to a changing equity market immediately in a good way.

TYA will, YGLD probably will, ERX will be immediate if it's a rotation. KMLM has pretty good odds of already being prepositioned for a sudden crash in equities. CTA has so so odds of being ready. DBMF will probably need time to catch a changing trend. Explaining this, the weakness of my hedges is fast crashes. Some of the trend funds may not be positioned for a fast crash, so the hedge needs time to warm up. When a bear market lasts weeks, or months, or years, that's when my hedges really shine. When there's a strong short trend, they'll be all over it. The maximum 39% effective exposure starts to fully kick in after weeks or months in a bear market. There's some whipsaw risk, though. But with all managed futures, the biggest risk is whipsaw.

>>62619017
so when you tweak your portfolio is it to ride a wave or is it because you think it will be a final tweak? how actively do you anticipate you'll manage it?
>>
>>62618988
I will look into it, but I can imagine that when problems arise and if you are not in a certain income tier, that this sort of thing will get you punished.

I am happy to pay the fair share to exit in good standing and wash my hands.

Just not sure that I want to stick around for the just desert of state gibs for market/state gibs for wagies being the only two options.
>>
>>62619027
No, my portfolio was much more aggressive a year ago, and even 3 months ago. Most of my tweaks have been defensive. It used to be over 50% tech.

And as I've been tweaking, for my battery of tests, I've been moving more and more away from backtesting results, and there's stuff in it that backtests like shit. I could raise the recent sharpe ratio multiple times what it is now, but the sharpe for backtests is only just barely over 1.1. It used to be like 1.9 sharpe for backtests when my portfolio was more historically biased in the beginning.

It still has a historical bias, but not a heavy one like it used to have. I'd say it's about 50-50 historical/anti bias. I have a whole battery of dozens of tests that I put it through like backtest, monte carlo, synthetic stress tests, tail risk tests, bootstrap tests, and a bunch of others.

thats why people like fundamental analysis, because if theyre actually correct in valuing the underlying business, theyre not gonna panic
boomers dont panic either when their $500K house yielding $25K rent a year temporarily dumps to $400K if the rent stays the same or increases somehow.
if someone sells a $10 bill for $8 you obviously buy, and when people start selling $10 bills for $5 then you don't panic and just buy more

If only I went all in on Micron and SOXL instead of getting btfo by the fake dump that was quickly reversed back in March. I was this close to making it. It feels 100% on purpose that Micron and semis fell right after Microns earnings. Really fucking mad I didn't double down on my Micron bet a week later with just calls. I was so close to freedom. In fact if that entire dump was skipped and the April pump began then I'd have made so much money.

But no I'm now back in 5 figure hell after they decided to just dump this stuff amd trend it down. Oh but this time when I refuse to let go they decide to actually keep pushing it down, no reversal like in March where they just pumped that stuff every single week straight into May. Fuck Im so mad, I was so close to finally improving me and familys lives. I was so close. Or I could've just bought a bunch of SOXL calls, that would've put my networth over $1m and iirc without needing to got to the peak value.

there are too many residential real estate corps who continue to be cashflow postive regardless and are continuing to "grow". i know this because i bought one as a hedge while i rent, so i dont get completely priced out if real estate doesnt crash as people want it to

the corp i put some money in is trading at a -50% NAV discount and they dont give a fk they just buy back shares and keep expanding the # of units they own (theyve doubled the number of units since several years ago)
in fact i dont even need to shill or pump the specific ticker i bought because if you just ask ai to tell you what corps/REITs are trading at a steep discount and are profitable (i.e. not commercial or office real estate), it'll give you at least a dozen picks that are public

if you're comparing it to a real mania or a bubble to the same level as dotcom then we're still 2 years behind

we are only starting to be in a bubble if you compare it to how crazy dotcom was. obviously i dont mean that a -30% crash isn't already possible, and even the way to the dotcom peak was ripe with multiple drawdowns that made everyone wonder if this is the one

so far we are just having a huge build out phase, and naturally things will slow down after it, maybe even worse than a -30% pullback eventually from here, but it can get crazier so yes have your hedges in place since things are already expensive but at the same time bubbles are very very lucrative

My savings rate is about 65% of my income here in china. I could literally voo and chill for ten years and retire. Too bad I am always cook bad entries with too much money on something I think is safe
If I buy risky shit I get a great entry, its up 30% and then goes down 50%
>>

You should say double based. Cialis 20mg gave me more rigid than a dill pickle and my veins were erupting. Straight up made the girl drool, followed by blood

imagine if companies like meta put 100% of their ai related capex into stock buybacks instead
>>
Balls are definitely a major factor though. You can see the Best Possible Entry but if you pussy out you spend the rest of your time while it pumps and then dumps saying "why didn' I take that great entry when I saw it".
>>
>>62620495
You should make your own pickles if you like them. The process is quite easy and you can pickle others too
>>
>>62620498
That would be insanely bearish you brainlet
>>
>>62620505
Hell yeah nigga I was planning to do that soon
>>
>>62620363
There's your problem
>>
>>62620502
If you think in terms of balls or pussy you are ngmi.
The correct terminology and approach is learning to "just pull the trigger." No emotion whatsoever. See the entry, pull the trigger, perfect/imperfect doesn't matter. Not feeling good or bad, brave or scared
>>
>>62620540
>learning to "just pull the trigger."
How?
>>
>>62620514
Just dont tell your girlfriend or she will ruin your pickle collection
>>
>>62620540
that's the same thing.
>>
>>62620545
It's physical conditioning, not mental ironically. Just build the habit, the physical habit, of clicking the buy button to where it doesn't illicit any sort of emotional response.
If you see the entry, even close to it, pull the trigger without thinking. Buying at all on a good thesis with decent entry is better than stressing for the pico bottom and not buying.
Same goes for selling.

>Real DCAing has never been tried
I know a guy who worked at Intel for close to a decade who had been DCAing into it forever and keeping all of his equity. When he got laid off a year ago during the purges he sperged out, tardraged and sold all of his stock at $27. Would've been an easy millionaire in just equity alone if he didn't do that.

>where it doesn't illicit any sort of emotional response
I have been trying for months. Couldn't do it.
I've even spent weeks watching the charts and do nothing because I couldn't make an unemotional trade.
How can I do it?

For it's just been focusing on making it a physical act, sorry to keep repeating. Another way is doing it as fast as possible.
I don't think there's any way to have to have absolutely no emotion in a trade unless you are a sociopath. Your brain will always recognize risk and half a little bit of a stress reaction. But focusing on the physical act as helped me a lot ignoring that
>>
I just heard two guys in the library discussing using liquid zone in the 4H chart to make good trades. It appears that we are currently experiencing a generational bull market.

America intervenes in its currency constantly. The issue is that its inflationary. And yields are high now because the market is pricing in inflation. So if they intervene the market will still demand the same yield.

I'm a pretty successful sports better, mostly on football which is arguably the most difficult to be consistently profitable from.

Results are a mugs game, I go for shots attempted (not shots on target) & fouls against/fouls committed. Never too many in a single acca/parlay.

What was your method?
