In a naive ideal cypherpunk world Sky aka Maker would've issued hundreds of billions to trillions of DAI but there's not enough decentralized collateral for that. For a USD stablecoin that's 100x the size of the playthings we've had until now you need a centralized entity to hold treasuries, so 140 corpos joining under one standard is actually more decentralized than Circle/Tether which is what we have now.
