At what point do people demand delivery of paper traded silver? Wouldn't that break its entire market?Wouldn't t this break the derivatives market as a whole?

>>62639155Never. Most paper PM traders don't WANT physical delivery. They are only in it for exposure. Taking physical delivery of a very large amount of PMs is expensive. It's heavy. It needs tight security. Industries that use it don't need huge quantities. It's much easier to trade paper. And there are already arbitrage mechanisms working between paper and physical.

>>62639155It is all owned by institutions. Institutions never request physical. They just want exposure to price action. If institutions start shipping physical to their warehouses the entire economy will be fuk.We won't find out about an institutional crisis until it is headline news. By then it will be too late and silver will already be $2000.
